If I did not have my operation, and now unable to play anymore, I would really get that violin

I’m really enjoying these videos, Edgar. I am in Texas but one day I would love to come to Cremona to visit your shop! I have a wonderful 1927 Ernst Heinrich Roth violin based upon a 1685 Francesco Ruggeri violin. Of course it is related to the Grand Amati pattern. It is such a lovely instrument. I have been the owner of this violin for 30 years. I am trying to be a good steward. It has an excellent tone with a perfect setup. A big beautiful tone and lots of overtones ringing but still a lot of substance in the tone. It really fills the hall. You can tell that I am in love with it. Anyway, I would love to meet you and see your shop.

I would say that the Guarneri Scala Perfetta has the best top. And the bottom is also better than the others. Very good!

I enjoy your videos very much. In this one, I prefer the first violin played, then the last one, and last, the middle one.

..." What Please make a video showing us and talking about "How my Montagnana cello is different from a Eastman Strings Monty cello"... What are we paying extra for? exactly?? I really want to know ....I'm not "trolling" you. No luthier has talked about this who has a KZbin channel or has been interviewed. That I know of.

i am curious where these scala perfetta is bought from, so asuming these instruments are bought from? where, Romania? or even China, and after that, a little italian touch up, making the corners and fluting more nice?

It wouldn't make any sense to buy Chinese instruments eves they try to sell me over the past 30 years their instruments. I don´t buy them but I collaborate with mainly German instrument makers who use machinery. These instruments once in my workshop are retouched, varnished and set up here in my workshop. A few years ago during the Frankfurt Musikmesse one of them checked my instruments and asked me: Edgar what the hell do you make that they sound now Italian? Indeed I enjoy to "produce" or let's say "I enjoy to be able to offer" a transparent product coming from my workshop which is affordable. European made would be actually the most precise description. For the main reason thatI discovered after almost 20 years that the scrolls are finished in Poland and that the neck is set in in Turkey. Yes, that's how a German made instrument is made nowadays. Just like the chicken breast you eat to be healthy while it made it across Europe for several times. Its a shame but transportation is less expensive than human time. Hope you enjoy my content and in case you have questions contiune to write comments here. That helps many out here thanks all the best from Cremona Edgar

These Scalaperfetta violins have a great lower tone. I wonder if you could improve the treble?
