Virtual Nursing Grand Rounds: Health Equity in Mental Health Outcomes for Native American Youth

Dr. Teresa Brockie, ’05, ’13, Katie Nelson, ’17 and Dr. Jennifer Show describe the differences in mental health outcomes cross Indian Health Service (HIS) geographical areas. They will discuss the importance of cultural protective factors in mitigating mental health challenges in a Native American context. In this presentation, attendees will understand the importance of and be able to apply multi-level approaches to solving complex health challenges in Native American communities.
