I’m glad you give the advice of doing one table at a time. I quickly realized that downloading them in bulk was going to drive me crazy, so I made sure to download ONE at a time (2 or 3 if there are edits/mods of the table), and test them out. Then, I find a back-glass I like to attach it to, and move it to the main folder(s). But I don’t want 300 table. I’m gonna prolly tap out around 30 tables, and that’s including FX3 content.
@soggykid55802 жыл бұрын
Yeah 30-50 tables is a good amount. I am also picky on the look of the table…if it doesn’t look good I don’t want it in the lineup. All the new tables coming out are really nice looking though. We are spoiled to have vpw etc

I would agree on the EM tables. I watched a video on an old one and how all of the parts worked and the beauty is in that mechanical process. I'm glad that people have been able to recreate and "save" those tables, but I would compare having a virtual version of it being like having a quartz digital watch vs a complex wind-up watch. Code can simplify the mechanical elements into just a handful lines of code and you can't re-create that experience.

You can setup your launch script with an alt launcher for the pup packs so it won't show duplicates in pinup menu. That way you can have just one table shown and when you go into it, have the normal launch option with pup pack, or move over one to use the alt launcher to use just B2S. Another advantage to that is you can keep all the files where they should be too. I used to move my B2S files to a different folder if there was a pup pack for it.

Cool stuff. Nice setup !! Thnx 4 the tour I got into VP9 years ago. Also was finding that the tables needed to be customized. Lucky if they worked. A b8ch to get playing decent. My trick was to go through the editor and just glance. Typically, I found duplicate art. Code was jumping all over the place & referring to non-existing items. eeekkkk . I just started deleting stuff and commenting out code(making sure everything still worked) until it ran good. I think it took 6 months to do 10 games. I grew up with 4 real tables in the garage, so if a virtual game lags there is no way I will play it. F that

@Vic_VP2 жыл бұрын
Thanks bud, solenoids r mapped via a ledwiz and sainsmart board and that then talks to doflinx. Doflinx tells the board when to activate the solenoid. Feedback is as real as it gets but that depends on the solenoid you get. Cheap solenoids don't cut it / don't thump like a real flipper
