Doing some tests of LightCraft's JetSet app! This was a super effective process and I can't wait to see how it develops -- and I'm eager to try the Cine version as well!

Awesome job! Small size virtual environments are super interesting for this workflow. Hallways and things like that aren’t seen all the time with CG environments, so it’s interesting to think along those lines like you did here

Did you rotoscope/key the footage outside of blender and then replace the plane in blender with the new footage before rendering? Or if not what did you do and why didnt you do it that way?
@AldenPeters12 ай бұрын
Yes the footage was keyed/rotoscoped separately!

@@AldenPeters1 and then that fixed footage was brought back to blender and used in the moving plane before rendering it all from blender?
@AldenPeters1Ай бұрын
@@traderz13 You can either bring it back into Blender and swap out the footage in the plane, or comp them together afterward. Since it's all tracked perfectly, either way works. I opted to render out the background without the footage, then comp it together at the end. That way I could start the render while the roto was being done, to save some time. If I wanted shadows from the footage in the scene, I would need to swap it out with the plane that's in the shot and render them together.

i wonder if you could just offset the camera manually in blender and still use a proper camera with the iphone attached. Probably wont be a acurate as their paid version process, but might be good enough.

Looks fantastic, but the monthly subscription requirement makes me cringe. Particularly at $20 pm, and even moreso in Blender, a free program with a marketplace full of add-ons under $100. I get everyone wants to ride the subscription train, it's a great way to make money. But this isn't Netflix, nor is it health insurance. A maintenance fee would have been more reasonable, especially when unreal engine is free.
