New Zealand seems quite pretty. Coming from Tasmania, what is the feel you get from being over in New Zealand?

New Zealand is alot bigger! views are every where you look and they are spectacular! Tasmania is similar to NZ but just on a much smaller scale. Tasmania's Highest Mountain is 1671 m. Nz highest is 4812m. These mountains are snow capped year round. You can hear avalanches happening every 40min in the back ground and ice bergs sit in the lakes which remain even during summer (near Mt Cook). Tasmania is very protected of their parks and limit development. So the huts a very few and far on wilderness walks. Which can be great if your looking for the true wilderness experience. You may never see another sole on a 3day walk or more! I only did the popular walks in Nz so its hard to compare them. NZ has alot of experiences for the younger crowd also, from jet boat rides to Bungy jumping. Both places are unique in their own way.
