It was always intriguing to me the way the video paints the picture of like a place that’s empty of people. Like a place that exist either no one has ever been to or a place built by people long gone now.

My interpretation of the song is that which connects to a project I'm working on, and this song has really inspired me. In my mind, the main character was in cryo-stasis and now that he's awake, his AI is reminding him of what he has to do now that he's woken up. And he's woken up to a world unlike that which he left it as. 3 forces battle for control: the last vestiges of society (and not just humans) who want to survive, the plague known as The Swarm which creates zombie-like hive creatures out of the infected who are still able to wield weapons and interact with their environment, and an ever-growing expanse of quartz-like crystals with the only goal of turning everything to a crystalline version of itself. As for the video, it represents an area where the main character emerged from, with a flower made of pure energy acting as a power source and a housing for the AI. The AI is trying to remind him of who he was, an angel to the people, and someone to be feared by his foes. And even though those days are long gone, he has to restore balance where it has ripped itself apart.

I don't think there is, but it's basically 3D using old video game console technology constraints and clichés : * Lots of billboard drawings (all these 2D animations in a 3D plane) * The moodish blue used in a lot of console menus (PS2, Gamecube, Arcades, etc.) * Very classic camera paths : rotating around (and targeting) the center of the scene, tracking shot closing in/or backing out of a scene * The long, linear, camera tracking shots with particles going the opposite direction used in a lot of anime and video game cutscenes * The low poly 3D models with just a color texture and no real shadows (nowadays you can add much more realism using Specular Maps (where/how light reflects), Transparency Maps, Normal Maps..) They don't always respect these constraints but draw inspiration from them, that's how it reminds you of this "aesthetic". Let's call it *90's 3D Era*
