I was a member of the crew that decommissioned the Torsk. We left Norfolk, Va. in the middle of January and arrived in Boston about a week later and we got to go home on the 4th of March. I was all of 18 years old.

Great tour of the conning tower !! I went through the conning tower of the USS Batfish in Muskogee Oklahoma years ago and toured the rest of the boat as well, very interesting !!

Great video, since many sub museum ships don't allow access to the conning tower. Also: it looks like the Torsk underwent the 1950s Guppy conversion (my dad served on two of those.) One suggestion: At about 5:10 you have a typo (the word "Computer" is spelled "Domputer".)
