I am surprised by Mr. Serif Yenen's videos! After having watched and read hundreds of Turkish videos and articles that are deliberately calling monuments like the Chora Monastery, Haghia Sophia etc. "Roman monuments" Mr. Yenen are calling them what they really are: Greek-Byzantine! Mr. Yenen has restored my faith to Turkish people! It represents that part of Turkish people who are open minded, educated and fair, and they respect and honor the Greek Byzantine past of modern Turkey! That's a characteristic of civilized and cultured people that I would like to have a dinner and a raqi with, freely and in a friendly spirit chatting about everything!! P.S. The quality of the mosaics and frescoes is staggering! They seem to be premature Rennaissance high quality artifacts!

Thank you for this gift God bless you amen. Please continue to develop this good work teaching. A very good presentation , please allow me a couple of corrections as a master iconographer and tourist guide: The Theotokos in the naive is not in the type of Odegetria. The inscription is Η ΧΩΡΑ ΤΟΥ ΑΧΩΡΗΤΟΥ, a very complicated yet sophisticated name. Also the mosaic of Jesus Christ above the entrance with Metochites is not resembling to an emperor. His garments are the typical red and dark blue ( dual hypostasis of Christ) and the name says Η ΧΩΡΑ ΤΩΝ ΖΩΝΤΩΝ (THE LAND OF THE ALIVE) . Also the name Pantokrator is not relevant grammatically to creator but to the verb κρατώ - Παντοκρατωρ = the One who holds everything (as in universe) that translates in English as almighty Christ. I hope you will appreciate my corrections as they were made in good will and spirit.

Regarding the Pantokrator icon, it's not "Pantocreator," and doesn't mean "Creator of the Universe," it is "Pantokrator" and means "All powerful" or "He who rules over all, from " πᾶς"(pas) - All, and "κράτος" (kratos) strength.
