Welcome to this virtual tour of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, which has been providing free healthcare on the same site in West Smithfield for nearly 900 years. The oldest hospital still in its original location in London., Barts has survived the Reformation, the Great Fire of London, two world wars and the threat of closure in the 1990s. Today it is a thriving hospital and a centre of excellence for cancer and cardiac care. On this tour we’ll be giving you an insight into the hospital’s past and present as well as sharing some images from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Archives.
