Are the Cumberland sirens at 4:41 a test, or was there a real incident? Most municipalities test their sirens on a weekday, not Saturday. Around here (northern IL), it's 10 am on the first Tuesday of every month.
@ChessieCat655 ай бұрын
As a child, I lived in Middletown Maryland and the volunteer fire department did their testing of the siren at noon on Saturdays. And a special blast on New Years.
@jamesmckenzie35325 ай бұрын
That should be an emergency response. Most VF units now only blast once.
@nosenugget4 ай бұрын
I did some googling as I was curious myself. Seems like it was likely an actual fire or EMS call, as Cumberland MD apparently still uses it to signal emergencies to the VFD as the hilly terrain in the area makes radio signals (pagers, radios, etc) somewhat problematic and unreliable.
