Summary of actions recommended in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijja are: ¹Clean your heart. ²Forgive and reconcile. ³Train yourself to pray your 5 Fard salat on TIME, and for men - in jammah in the masjid. ⁴ Pray the Sunnah prayers. ⁵ Pray some Nafl extra prayers to cover the holes and mistakes in your Fard Salah. ⁶ Fast the whole 9 days but definitely fast the Day of Arafat, the 9th day. (It is not permissible to fast the day of Eid the 10th). ⁷ Recite the dhikr aloud as much as you can. ⁸ Pray 2 rakka 10 or 15 minutes after sherook. ⁹ Give sadaqah (voluntary charity) every day. ¹⁰ Read Qur'an. ¹¹ Be kind to your parents and family, smile at people, improve in everything - sadaqah. ¹² Pray Qiyyam al Layl (night prayer). Zakat / Zakat al Mal is the third pillar of Islam and is a compulsory charity of 2.5% of a person’s wealth, if they have more than the Nisab value (which can be calculated in gold or silver). Historically, it was set up as a welfare system to support the poor and needy. Zakat is deemed to be the right of the poor.Many people don’t know that the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are better than all the other days of the year, the 10 best days with no exception. They are even better than the days of Ramadan, SubhanAllah! Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days” (Bukhari), meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. After the holy month of Ramadan, maybe you feel that you could have done more throughout the sacred month? Perhaps you’ve since let go of that Ramadan feeling? Well, these beloved ten days offer another chance to gain immense rewards, have our sins forgiven and reach great levels of piety, Insha’Allah. A month of increased spirituality, we witness two very special events - all in devotion to Allah (SWT). Not only is this the month of Hajj, but also the blessed day of Eid al-Adha. On this day, each and every one of us, who is able, offers Qurbani - just as Prophet Ibrahim (AS) did - in devotion to Allah (SWT) and to help vulnerable communities in need across the globe, including right here where we are. May Allah accept all our good deeds Ameen Ya Rabb. SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAH WALA ILAHA ILLALLAH WALLAHU AKBAR

*Don't forget 8 deeds in Dhul Hijjah* Regarding the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, Prophet (ﷺ) said: *"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days."* The people asked, *"Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah?"* He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Bukhaari, 2/457) 👉What can we do during these days: *1. Fasting:* One of the best deed we can do is fasting the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, because fasting is one of the best of deeds. 👉The Prophet (ﷺ) said: *“Fasting the day of `Arafah expiates the sins of two years: the past one and the coming one.”* [Muslim] 👉Allah almighty says, "This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Surah al Maa'idah 5:3) 👉The day of Arafah is on 9th of Dhul-Hijjah. That is the day before Eid. *2. Read the Quran:* 👉Reading the Qur’an is a good deed and Allah (swt) especially loves the good deeds done in these days. *3. Pray your 5 daily Salah:* Don't forget to pray Tahajjud when you wake up for Suhoor. Also pray Salatuh Tasbeeh during these days. *4. Make lots of dhikr:* 👉Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbeeh, Tahmeed and Takbeer during this time. Tahleel is to say "Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah" Takbeer is to say "Allahu Akbar" Tahmeed is to say "Alhamdulillaah" Tasbeeh is to say "Subhanallaah". 👉You may also recite: *اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ- اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ-لآاِلَهَ اِلاَّاللهٌ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُاَللهُ اَكْبَرُ وَِللهِ الْحَمْدُ* Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, wa Lillaah il-hamd. (Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is most Great, there is no god but Allaah, Allaah is Most great, Allaah is most great, and to Allaah be praise). 👉Recite it loudly in the mosque, the home, the street and every place where it is permitted to remember Allaah and mention His name out loud, as an act of worship. *5. Seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah:* Use these blessed days to seek forgiveness for all our wrongdoings. *6. Give in charity* Give in charity in these blessed days, as much as you can. *7. Sacrifice:* One of the good deeds that will bring a person closer to Allaah during these ten days is offering a sacrifice, by choosing a high-quality animal and fattening it. 👉Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "When you see the new moon of Dhu’l-Hijjah, and one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, let him refrain from (removing anything) from his hair or nails.” (Muslim, 1977) *8. Stay away from Sins:* May Almighty Allah guide us to fulfill His commands and keep us away from committing all kinds of sins whether major or minor! Ameen 👉Other Good deeds: Making supplication (du’aa’), honouring parents, upholding the ties of kinship, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship.

You alone we worship and trust, and to You alone we call out to and return ya Al'Hai Al'Qayum... Blessings and salutations on our noble Mursaleen, their families and their companions - may our entire Ummah be true followers of Your Religion and of Your chosen leaders and enjoy the intercession of Rasul'ul Allah s.a.w. La hawla walla quwata ila bilah - Pour in our hearts the neverending concern and objective of pleasing You, Al'Wadud and envelope us in Your Love in the ways that befit Your Majesty. Make taqwa be the center of our existence and provide us with all that we need to pass our tests delightfuly. Please shelter us from all that displeases You and make The Straight Path our home and our way of life while we are here. Increase us in knowledge and steer us clear from that which does not benefit us. Ya Al'Mu'izz, inject in us the ability to recognize the truth and to distinguish it from falsehood... allow us to see what is true and grant us the ability to accept it as the truth and endear it to us by making what is false appear to us as false indeed- keep it away from us and us from it, to You alone we supplicate for guidance and plead. Oh Allah Jella Jalaluhu, You know everyone's needs best and You are the best of planners, so fulfill them lovingly and make us content and grateful with what You decree. Provide us with deep understanding, free us from ignorance and debt and cleanse our sustenance by supplying us with the highest of halal opportunities in all their forms. Do not deprive us from fulfilling all 5 Pillars during our life time nor from visiting Your Holy Lands, and gift us with the priviledge of enjoying the end of our days in the one You choose for us. Oh Allah Azzawajjal free Your creation from all forms of suffering, lead us into tawba and the wisdom of asking for forgiveness and the nobility of forgiving. Oh Al Aziz, return Your Masjids to Your rightful servants, and protect our ulamah by keeping their teachings alive and having their students apply what Your Quran and our Nabi's Sunnah have established, for us and all future generations. Oh Al Mutakabbir, elevate our status and purify our past, our present and our future... and grant us victory on that Day. We beg You Allah Ghafur AlRaheem for forgiveness for our sins... wipe our accounts clean and fill them with abundant mandalas of good deeds to recieve our book on our right hand and allow us to be from among Your pious allies... a Sabiqun, a Sabiqun. Oh Allah we seek refuge in Your perfect words from every fitnah, from the simplest to the most dangerous... including from the trials of the Dajjal and the end of times... and every form of evil You have created... every devil, every vermin, every illness, from misguidance and ingratitude, and protect our Ummah from Shaytaan and his agenda against humanity at large. Allahuakbar! Please purify, strengthen and unite the Muslim Family in ways that exceed our expectations and envelope our hearts and souls. Put Barakah in everything we receive from You and in everything we do. Save us from the punishment of the grave and make Jahanam Haram for us at all times. Grant us a blessed death upon being submitted to You, after uttering the most sincere 'la ilaha il Allah' , and aid us in answering the 3 questions that define our destiny. Unite us with those whom You love most upon the resurection and enter us into every level of Jannah until we are able to finally enjoy Al Firdeous, and be honored by your Glorious company forever and ever... Amin, amin ya Rabbi Alameen
