I'm currently playing on a Denis Wick Heritage 2AL Mouthpiece. I play big band swing jazz. I double between Large Bore Tenor Trombone and Bass Trombone. Which do you recommend. I love the flat rim on the Denis Wick.

What's the black plating that Ian has on his mouthpiece?

Probably oxidation.

He uses a wrap material made from silicone that's similar to car wraps to keep the silver plate off of his face. Without the wrap Ian can get swelling with a slight metal allergy.
