I have test driven both and below is what i found: - Pick Up : Both are at par .On paper there might be a difference in BHP and torque figures but for all practical purpose , you wont find any significant difference. - Ride Quality : Verna has a neutral suspension setup (Not soft like honda city or stiff like Virtus) and gives a plush ride in almost all condition. Virtus has a stiffer suspension with a bit of bumpy ride quality in but again nothing which is a deal breaker- More of a personal choice . - Build Quality : Virtus’s Kerb weight is 1275kg and 5 GNACP certified . Verna’s kerb weight is 1240 (marginally less than Virtus) and build quality seems good(if nothing exceptional) . Anyways weight wise both are almost same but structural safety wise unless GNCAP rating comes up , we cant be sure. - Steering Feedback- Virtus’s steering is precise and weighs up from very low speed and provides a feedback which is confident inspiring . Coming to verna , earlier versions were kinda life less but this one is surprisingly good (You need to drive to feel it). In low city speed its effortless and very pleasing - in high speed its still good if not best . But finally, steering feedback is a not a deal breaker for Hyundai now. - Handling- Virtus is awsome but verna is not far behind ( cant rate it poor) . Still if we want a winner, virtus is my pick - Features /Looks- Looks is subjective but feature wise Verna is a clear winner. Specially, in interior, virtus doesn’t feel like a 20+lkh car- Feels dull but verna is almost like a premium luxury sedan. - breaking- Virtus has a break bite from the very beginning but new drivers would take time to adjust their muscle memory as some times it might end up like panic breaking.Verna a very progressive breaking which helps in a smooth driving. So though breaks are equally powerful , I liked Verna’s breaking which is kind of easy to learn and smooth. Bottomline, Both are equally good - Kudos to VW and Hyundai coming up with these kind of fun to drive sedans for india. Now its up to personal choice to pick one. Again, you wont regret in spending your money in any of them. :)

Spot on. I like to add one thing, at low speeds, i found the dct of Verna (normal mode) smoother than Taigun/Virtus dsg tuning which feels jerky.

Once you get into Hyundai Car You just cannot get away with the feel of premiumness & luxurious Interior it offers. Alongwith fit-finish & feature list it's difficult for family members to reject & like other Cars. VW-Skoda as a brand is yet to learn about selling Cars to भारतीय Customers. Unless they improve their offerings & price their Cars to perfection, its going to be difficult for them to sell in good nos. Against New facelift Seltos, Verna & yet to be launched face-lifted Creata.

Koi darr ni lag ra steering me. Pehle se bhot improved hai car. Aur car city me 70-80% chalti hai usme hyundai ka easy to manover steering better hai. Requiremnt ke hisab se verdict dia kro bhai. Har koi 150 pe nai chalata gadi. Verna is overall a much better product than virtus for Indian conditions.

Tbh it's not that laggy ofc there's lag but its accpetable atleast for me ( I own Slavia 1.0 manual Style) and I can say its accpetable for me and after 1600-1650 rpm the car takes off very well. If u don't want this lag go for city it's very good package.
