Visões do Invisível / Visions of the Invisible by

VISÕES DO INVISÍVEL
Somos por natureza incompletos, distraídos, reconstruídos, confusos.
Retemos muito pouco do que ouvimos e um pouco mais de três quartos do que vemos, como se o que nos escapa, fossem uns quantos cavaleiros perdidos do seu exército, condenados ao limbo e ao espaço liminar, sem identidade nem estética próprias.
Este conjunto de fotografias, dá o protagonismo a estes cavaleiros perdidos, imagens menosprezadas e difusas, no burburinho incessante que nos abraça a perceção. Etéreas por natureza, passam silenciosas sem nos ver.
Com estas fugazes “Visões do Invisível”, integramos uma espécie de realidade paralela, numa intrigante complexidade que nos liberta a imaginação.

VISIONS OF THE INVISIBLE
We are all flawed by nature, incomplete, distracted,rebuilt and confused.
We retain precious little of what we hear and a little more than three quarters of what we see, as if what escapes us, were some unfortunate lost knights, condemned to the limbo of the liminal space, with no identity or aesthetics of their own.
In this work, the center stage belongs to these lost knights, undervalued and diffuse images, in the unyielding noise that embraces our perceptions. Ethereal by nature, they ride by before us, quietly and unseen.
With these fleeting “Visions of the Invisible”, we integrate some sort of parallel reality, in an intriguing complexity that frees our imagination.
