What happens when one gets the Visa after the conference which had invited you has ended? Can I use my visa to travel for a different reason than was granted for?

By the way, I used an agent and he applied for a visitor (conference) visa, but in the visa form he shared with me, I did not see the name of the conference and I've tried to ask him but he said its not important, that I should just wait to get the visa first and we can go ahead with other things... Although, I had doubts when he said its not that important... Please, can you please help CLARIFY this... Thank you. 🙏🏾

When you get to Canada point of entry. You will be asked the reason for your visit and you will need to tender your conference invite and they will check your conference eligibility

@arakunrindamola either paid or free, make sure the conference is available for INTERNATIONAL participants.(very important) because they will check it, you must have a story or something to relate to the conference for the purpose of convincing the immigration officer. Goodluck bro

Please, for a spouse and dependant little kids ( 1.6 years and 2.7 years) of an international female student attending a private career college in Canada, what be acceptable reasons why they are accompanying international students on visitor visa and how long should the husband state he wants stay in Canada for the purpose of visit for the visa to stand best approval chance?

Visits should be 3weeks maximum on application cause he has a life in his country

Just be truthful on why you want them to accompany you and how long they will be staying with you. Husband should ideally have a life, job/business back home that he should be anxious to go back to so as not have luxury of just hanging around his wife in Canada while she's studying

@@judyogawa Tell them initially you had 2 reasons: 1) attend graduation (which has passed unfortunately) 2) reason #2 why you are still pursuing the visa (e.g. family arranging party, vacation, etc. why else other than graduation do you still want to visit US? this should be your reason #2)
