Shweta Basu Prasad is a gem of an actor. Don't mainstream Bollywood movie directors, producers see talents like them!?

I did not know that it was a ten rupee note untill i read the comments... but that 10 rupee note is very imp.. some ppl here are saying that director could used a bigger amount, but i think director has that much common sense... BUT he went beyond that...Common sense says a director who can make such a movie definitely knows why he used 10 rupees 10 rupee note is symbolic of the father's condition.. that he is so destitute and desperate that he can only manage 10 rupees as bribe.. now the receptionist accepting 10 rupees - it might be that she was so much moved or her her inner conscious evoked that she felt like helping. 10 rupee not was not a bribe, it was an emotion, a desperation...

For all those who didn't get the movie: They wanted to go to UK because current situations (in the film) in Pakistan are very bad and they are afraid that they won't be able to survive here. So, that's why they decide to go to UK to start a new life, away from war and for that they prepare their daughter to act as if she has cancer but in reality she's healthy. The official in UK Embassy falls in there trap and gives them VISA but then he sees foundation (makeup) which her mother forgets by chance in the waiting hall and he gets that it was all a plan. Surprisingly, he doesn't react and understands their situation and happily lets them go to start a new life in UK.

What a bullish analysis you got here, Situation relate to india not Pakistan. At 9:29 She looked at hanuman picture and at 9:43 Saleem kisses his Talisman ( Taveez). Out of religion marriage issue here. Society does not accept and wanted to kill them.

Place Pakistan. The main issue here was that the woman in spite of marrying a Muslim, didn't convert to Islam. Her retaining her Hindu identity resulted in all the threats she receives. Hence, migration.

I am a Pakistani, supposed filmmaker lol, I just love this film. I know for a fact that it is never too easy to portray a true picture of a country that has been wrongly portrayed to you for the entire time but in anyway, it was a great storytelling content. Just one observation, Urdu language should've had more command over because certain words used in the film are not spoken in Pakistan at all, the Urdu grammar is very much taken into account in Pakistani society. Rest, I totally appreciate your masterpiece.
@moubhattacharyya11417 жыл бұрын
Fahad Kahut you can make similar films in your own country next time. that will be more realistic. you can take care of proper dialect of urdu as well. why make a film in India! I guess it was not a collaboration. not sure though. good luck for the film director in you.
@FahadKahut7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Mou, I am sorry I dont really get the last part in your comment, we are not making any film in India. It was just my observation and the director of the film was kind enough to speak to me about it. Nevertheless, I like this film.
@jigggro7 жыл бұрын
please point out some places where in Urdu it would have been different. purely for personal interest sake.
@tarunwadhwa50266 жыл бұрын
Totally Agree to what Fahad has pointed out and to me as well it felt more like a 'Purani Dilli Zuban' and not Pakistani urdu dialect. That though can not take away from the excellent storytelling. Loved the twist in the end and even without the stats the simple fact that a parent is risking everything for a better upbringing of their daughter is very heart warming and aptly told as well. Congrats to the entire team. Jignesh, the use of urdu words was quite scarce and even pronunciation. A simple example, go to 3:30, when the father enters and she says, "Oh Aap 'ho' ", I feel it should have been, " Oh aap hain ". The difference is in choice of words and pronunciation both. Zuban and Zaban mean the same but make an almost geographical difference in cases like this. But lets not critical, sorry for the long post. LOVELY FILM.

Accepting others as they are, creates the opportunity to connect with other cultures. By respecting one another, we can put aside our differences and focus on common interests and mutual benefit.
