Tirthan valley is located at a distance of 280 km from Chandigarh, After reaching the valley, you would love to enjoy the current of Tirthan river that flows in the valley.

Date of journey - 15th may 2022.
We started our day from Banjar & stop by at the suspension bridge, just to enjoy the scenic views, We saw a homestay just across the suspension bridge, details below.
Riveraansh - Homestay near suspension bridge

Gushaini Bridge then we proceeded towards Sarchi via Gushaini bridge.
Sarchi Village - It is a small village located at an altitude of 7200 feet above sea level, 60 houses in the village. We had breakfast at Sarchi Homestay - 8988317980 (Siddu Femda, Childa) Room tariff - Rs 1500 double occupancy with breakfast.
Then we saw Sangam of Tirthan river & Falachan river.
Lunch at Bathad Village - 10 km from Gushaini village.
It is also a small village having about 50 houses. We had lunch at Bathad village at Thewa Ram ji homestay, Apna Ghar.
At the moment his homestay was under renovation, he said he would start very soon, smaller room would cost around Rs 2500 & bigger room Rs 3500 for double occupancy.
In lunch we had different types of Himachali food Shotra, Childa, Piye, Dry Fruit Chutney, Bichoo butti chutney & lingra (Fiddlehead fern).
At a 10 to 15 min walking distance from Bathad village, we visited a small waterfall.

Thanks for showing Bathad Village. My Grandfather was Head Postmaster there during '90s and he also ran the hotel at the bus stand. It is a nice and pleasant place to visit.

It's beautiful place, but please keep the serenity of that place, don't over crowd it with too many home stay. Tourist don't maintain the norms, they spoil the beauty of nature, there should be some place in India where nature lover should visit and feel the beauty of tranquility

Riverside tirthan and falchan river sangam was too good overall valley was too good natural environment greenery , wooden bridge , to have a good walk , even sitting along the river side would give a lot of fresh air

I went to Bathad in 1980 by bus. There was only one bus from Banjar at that time and the bus stayed overnight in Bathad. There were very few houses and no lodging place but there was a forest rest house where we stayed. The most important places in these villages are their temples, which you didn't show. They are also located at the most vantage points with the best views. They may not be very big but some of these are hundreds of years old. The Durga temple at Gushaini is such a temple. Thanks for bringing back memories of that trip.

What a wonderful magnificent folk song by the Himachali women and in the first part the folk song by Himachalee men. Really enchanting as well as mind touching folk songs. The tune and tone of Indian folk songs seem alike in all over INDIA from Bengal Odisha or Punjab and Bihar or Maharashtra. Really great folk songs of Himachal. It is paradise on Earth. My daughter wife sister like and wish to go Himachal Pradesh again and again. This October 2022 they are going there.
