Kumbhalgarh fort was made by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. This fort is important for its rich history plus its boundary wall.
Its boundary wall measures 36 km in length, Due to this reason it is ranked as the second longest wall after the Great wall of China.
There is a daily evening light and sound show that is run at the fort, but we could not see it as the setup was under renovation.

Excellent observations 👍 In 2014 February we have visited that place. Painting of elephants in natural colors are still there in Badal Mahal. The history told by that guide about this place is really interesting. Actually there are 3 ways to reach Kumbhalgarh. We had taken the route via Saas Bahu, the great Siva temple and Rajsamand lake. It took about 5hrs. 2nd way straight to Udaipur through village path. Interesting 3rd way is via Ranakpur temple. You have to go down like Himachal road from Kumbhalgarh to Ranakpur then the state highway usually Express bus available.
