Guwahati is gateway to North East India, we spent one full day in Guwahati exploring places to see and things to do in Guwahati Assam.
Following are the details of the activities done by us as part of this journey, we recorded this episode on 5th December 2021.
Gandhi mandap - Started our day with this museum, It is dedicated to Gandhi ji, you get a beautiful Aerial view of Guwahati city.
Ugratara Temple - It is an Ancient Shaktipeeth temple, devotees come from far off places to take the blessings from here. There is also a pond in the premises of this temple which has many turtles along with ducks.
Breakfast at JB"s near fancy bazaar - Rs 100 per plate 3 Poori & Aloo Dum.
Umananda Temple - it is located in the World's smallest inhabited Island. To reach the temple you need to ride for 15 minutes on a ferry.. Ticket - Rs 20 per person (Online & Offline). The Temple is dedicated to Goddesses Parvati & Lord Shiva Yoni Peeth.
Guwahati Tea Auction Center - Here we got a chance to see how the Tea auction takes place in earlier days and also different varieties of orthodox, white, green & yellow tea.
MV Ayuddha under B & R Riverbourne - We experienced 2 hours of River Cruise along with Lunch. They have different plans: overnight river cruise would cost around Rs 10500 with 3 meals for double occupancy.
Auniati Satra -This place is in North Guwahati, It is an institution, where students learn art, culture, literature & classical music.
Sharma sweets house - We had Rabri Ghewar, located in Fancy Bazaar
Laxmi Cabin - Samosa & Rasgulla at this old sweet shop are famous.
Shri Dev cart at fancy bazar- This cart serves Golgappe with 7 types of different flavors.

Many vlogers came and went. But the way Guwahati was shown in this channel, really was amazing. Only and only this channel did justice to Guwahati. Thankyou so much Sir for researching so well and displaying our home to the larger audience. Thankyou Sir for the respect you have given to Guwahati and not just displaying as a mere transit destination to Meghalaya or Kaziranga. Wish your channel more growth. - Your true fan since a long time.

Fancy bazar is a modernised name of Fansi bazar. In Assamese people still call it Fansi bazar. It comes from the word Fansi (hanging). Because of the hangings done in the old jail which was in the market area.

Sir watching your vlogs have become a habit for us now. One thing that runs continuously in our TV is your videos. Staying so far away from home (we stay in USA), your vlogs really give us a homely feeling and so much of in-depth information about each place. And Guwahati being my home, this video gave me goosebumps when you described about Umananda, Tea Auction Centre, North Guwahati and others. Next time you visit Guwahati, I would recommend you to have warm Rosogollas from Ashok Sweets(Bylane 9, Lachitnagar).. its very very soft and I am sure you will love them more than any other rasgullas.😊😊 Hope you keep on making vlogs and continue giving us so much information!!! All the best Sir.👍🏻
