Hi, its perfectly fine to visit araku from vizag and return back by evening. i did same along with my wife. we started early around 7am reached araku by 12 including plenty of stops and slow riding. while coming back we stoped at borra caves, had lunch over there and we were back in vizag before sunset.... and i felt it was sufficient time for araku visit.

@@shalakaonenonly i went upto araku town(couldnt find good places to eat) so turned back and on way stopped at haritha resort(which was pathetic so didnt eat there aswell) headed to borra caves (had lunch outside in a mess type hotel) and returned back.... stopped at multiple places in between for tea, photographs etc...

There are plenty of renting companies in vizag for motorcycles... you can google for more details. Infact the avenger im riding was a rented one..

Minimum 3 hours from vizag to araku. Distance is less but single road, ghats and lots of small villages in between.

Yes its no issues. The road is mostly through villages and lot of people commute on scooters on this route.

Not completely true, but yeah here and there the network becomes weak and might not be available aswell... (very rarely)

Safety of route depends on many factors, the road is mostly single lane road with traffic coming from opposite side and this is dangerous always... I suggest to return back before dark. It is very much possible to return back early by sunset after viewing all the attractions of araku, if you start early morning from vizag(say 6am)

sorry for late reply. there are some lodges, resorts available in araku.. i had checked the ap tourism harita resort which is like 30 mins ride before araku town while going from vizag. i didnt like the place, hotel and facilities so didnt opt for staying there. if you are travelling as bachelors then there are many options but with family then have to do the research properly.. there is alot of potential in this place but unfortunately APtourism didnt promote this place the way it is supposed to be.. i honestly loved the place but not much of a tourism place like other hill stations in south india. very few options with food and hotels here which is a major let down.
