It's hard to beat Halleck round 1 and whenever I see him in the opening in imperial row, I go out of my way to grab him. Helena and Ilban are great for this. Although your last round was a bit awkward too. Not that you would win it anyway, but you overfocused on shipping which was unnecessary last round. I usually ignore shipping final rounds unless I am already high up on the track. Also from my experience - cheap techs, way better than expensive techs. Keep up the good work, and see you in the game.

In turn 7 you could've done ring to 3+2 spice(blocking leto out of spice). Then airships(buy any of the possible cards) and finally go to guild and deploy all of those troops wasting exactly 11 spice.

Have you played uprising ? I felt base game is too scripted because it is easy to get sword master and spice into highliner back into is too strong of the circle . Rise of ix tightened early solari incomes so players need to find other ways to find solari. They even tightened more solari income in uprising. I like these better than base game because every game you need to find own way to get swordmaster . There is no easy way as in base game and you need to improvised each game to get sword master .

I played it a couple times soon after it came out, not enough to get a feel for it. Was fun though.
