I agree. The new uniform infringes the Canadian Legion veteran uniform which the 4th Degree should patriotically respect.

The new regalia isn't bad. Its just that the people wearing it often seem to think tailoring is optional... For a uniform of such importance, it should be mandatory.

I live in Scotland so I'm in the knites of columba I have some ideas I would love to share with the knite commander ,to do with ceramonial equipment ,I hope to start a project to reinvigorate some of the symbols to attract young members "because there is a movement towards the group's societies and young men longing for a chivelrick code

As a faithful Catholic layman and former KOC, I have to say that whenever I see members in 4th degree costumes, I can't help recalling the reasons I left the order. Although the organzation still can be, depending upon the goals and activities of each of the various councils, a tremendous force for charitable good in the world, I eventually left because I couldn't in good conscience be affiliated any longer with an organization whose leadership has consistently failed to behave as it ought to when high-profile members of the order have behaved in ways antithetical to the ideals held by Fr. McGiveney which inspired him to launch the KOC to begin with. Just a few examples: NY state representatives Joe Addabo and David Carlucci were responsible for casting the deciding votes making "gay" so-called marriage legal in the Empire State. U.S. Rep. Bart Stupak is said to have cast the deciding vote in the House to pass the Affordable Care Act, laden as it was with requirements that faithful Christians act against their consciences by funding contraception and, effectively, abortion with their forced payments, into law. These men were then, and are STILL, members of the KOC in good standing. How can this be??? If the Supreme leadership of the KOC can't take positive action to eject men who gravely sin so publicly, or when local councils rent their halls out to gay weddings, or when it becomes public knowledge that the Grand Knight of a local council is an out, proud and "married" homosexual, then I can't participate OR assist in funding it with dues payments and retain my own integrity. Something for all you members of the KOC to ponder.

You're not the only one who has resigned from the Knights of Columbus, I am too. I started at Council 3702 in Brookfield Wisconsin, then transferred to 6856 in Selma Texas by San Antonio. While there, I became a 4th Degree in September 2015 I believe at Assembly 2523 in nearby Schertz, then transferred to Council 12553 in Argyle, just down the road from me and Assembly 2043 in Denton Texas, and finally transferred to 9884 in nearby Lewisville Texas and also Assembly 2291, also in Lewisville. I was thinking of transferring to Council 759 in nearby Keller Texas and Assembly 2857, also in Keller Texas, but decided to eventually resign. Why am I resigning and why should others do the same? Modernism, that's right, Modernism. I started coming across some videos in early 2017 and when I spoke to a member over the phone from Council 3702, Dick Rappl, he told me if I became a Sedevacantist, I would be following a Sheep in Wolve's clothing. Well, I am a Sedevacantist now and I'll hold that position since John XXIII and his successors Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and currently Francis are all Modernists and Heretics since they are preaching Heresy. Pope St. Pius X referred to Modernism as the Synthesis of all Heresies. I encourage everyone to become affiliated with SSPV/CSPV. I intend to become a Traditional Catholic Priest from that group once I finish Catechism class and go through First Communion and Confirmation correctly.

Hello Brother Joe, I'm Rudy with St. Anne Assembly #3478 in Santa Fe, NM. I saw this video and am wondering where our assembly can get a copy of it. We are fairly new, and our color corps is in need of basic color corps training. I was hoping you can point me in the right direction as to where to get a copy of this for our color corps. This is a basic course which I feel would be very valuable for our color corps to start out. I want to be visible with the fourth degree but when others don't want us to be. and we give in and we are told to be silent. it's very difficult. when we can't be as visible as needed. that's the problem. attitudes and egos need to be checked out before you. put the uniform on.

I bought a K of C sword in Excelent condition , with the Cream colored case with Red trim, Ive looked at ather swords like I have but the only dif is mine says TOLEDO SPAIN on the top of blade near handel in Gold like the words on both sides of blade. Can anyone tell me what it is worth. Ive seen them from $40 to $170 dollars but none show the TELEDO SPAIN on the sword. Thanks.

I'm a third degree Knight of Columbus member but will probably not move up to the fourth degree because they made a very bad decision in doing away with these really nice looking 1700s British military style uniforms. There is a fourth degree exemplification scheduled in my area during the middle of October 2018 but I most likely won't go but will just stay at third degree. These beautiful old style uniforms is the main thing that attracted me to the Knights of Columbus. Now with the new uniforms Knights of Columbus fourth degree members will look like military boarding school cadets in the movie Taps. I don't like it, I don't like it.

Guy Morris I agree with you, Brother Guy. I’m a 4th Degree Knight. I had my 4th Degree exemplification in June 2018, and I bought a my old uniform in October 2018. I was lucky enough to get it in time. It’s so sad that the suppliers don’t sell it anymore.

I agree! I am stepping down as Faithful Navigator, and have quit the color guard. I refuse to buy another uniform. The Supreme muckety mucks f-cked us over with their unilateral decision to change the uniform. All of a sudden, my investment is worthless.

My husband was a 4th Degree Knight. We will be having his funeral on the 18th because of covid. Our insurance agent tells me that they will have a honor guard at his funeral. Here is the question: my husband was cremated. We have his remains in an urn to be placed in a columbarium at our hometown church. So at the funeral how will the k of c handle the the procedings during the funeral Mass. We are having a visitation and than a rosary led by KOC. Followed by the funeral. Thanks!!!!

He's some programs for you to know here in Texas Visit the home bound at VETERANS hospitals. Special Olympics Wheel chair program Coats for kids 40cans for Lent Pro Life activities. We also donate our time in our church and many local pantries. We do what we can. And many more.
