The only thing that is going to stop people from stealing images and such is to call them out. Shame them. That would be a youtube channel I would watch. You could call it "Photography Pirates Exposed!" On another note I really appreciate all the work you both do to provide us with entertainment, knowledge, and inspiration. Cheers

Any idea who these bad guys are? I would like to make sure I don’t support those channels....

Allister, you're still a young man, I'm going to be 73 in a few weeks and I still enjoy learning new skills especially in photography. Grandma Moses I believe didn't start painting until she was 78. Great video, your books are great! Keep up the great work.

Loved all three of the video chats between you and Thomas. I especially like Tom's idea about him doing a three month photo project and then sharing his vision on his channel. Must be such hard work producing weekly videos for KZbin, especially this year!

Thank you so much Alister for taking the time to put together this 3 part interview/conversation with Thomas Heaton. I do believe that TH will be around for many years to come, long after the instagram focussed photographers have gone back to their office job. I'm 66yo and retired from my career, didn't retire "From" but I retired "TO" something (photography) I make NO money from it, it costs me to do anything, gear, travel etc. but I wouldn't do anything else. I 'm inspired by photographers like yourself, Thomas Heaton, Adam Gibbs, Ben Horn...... & Ken Duncan (Australian landscape legend) who inspired me to take up landscape photography many years ago. Cheers & keep DRY :).

A no-nonsense enjoyable conversation with a level-headed hard worker of a photographer. Not that others don't work hard, but it's so obviously key to Tom's progress. I've enjoyed his work and journey for a few years now, thanks for letting us listen in. And I found another image in my backlist which benefitted from the consequences approach this week, cheers!

Hi Alister: I must say, I have really enjoyed the format of this 3-part series vs. a longer video. Thomas is a very down-to-earth person and I do appreciate his approach to photography. I also liked seeing the expression on his face and the tone of his voice when he was describing getting more into film based photography. He is becoming a bit of a renaissance man! Keep well and I hope that you fully recovery from your illness soon. Cheers, Keith

I love that TH does lots of different things. There’s so much out there to try! Keeping local has helped me to get to amazing little areas. Thanks for the inspiration! 📸

Super enjoyable series interview. Thanks Alister! A photograph is a moment when we are engaged with the world...love it, cannot say enough about how I relate to that.

As a new viewer, I am very impressed with this channel. However, the constantly shifting (morphing) background on Alister is very distracting. Replacing an office wall with a photo is a great idea, but I have frequently noticed this problem on other channels as well. I also prefer the smooth pate/crown to the stocking cap pulled low (unless of course you're outside in the cold).

who are these photographers Tom is talking about? I only watch a few of these vloggers channels in the most part for the entertainment and the travel, the most important thing for me is that they have an engaging presenting style . As whats considered "good" in photography is quite subjective once its above a technical level it would be interesting to know who these people are .

Alister, WHEREVER did you get the notion that we would let you retire ten years from now???? Apparently, you did not think about us when you made that slip. We'll talk then. (Just kidding. Looking forward to the next ten with you.)
