one thing i REALLY liked about alderheart in this book is him having feeling for velvet, and instead of jayfeather getting angry and telling him how its not allowed and how he should feel terrible and how hes betraying medicine cat code, he just told him it was perfectly ok and normal to feel like that. And that the decisions he made AFTER having those feeling were what mattered, not the feelings themselves. Actually in reality, alderheart and jayfeathers entire relationship in this was so refreshing.

Distressed Fish I always forget how awesome Jayfeather really is behind all of that attitude and his snide remarks. I forgot why I loved him and it’s moments like this that I realize why.

I think the Erins shouldn't kill off Jayfeather for a while, even though he's been around for a bit long. He's a pretty awesome character, and in my opinion, there's still a lot they could do with him.

My favorite part of VoS, was probably that final battle between the clans and Darktail, because I actually slightly predicted it. The fact that each clan used its special skills unique to them to completely wipe the floor with the rogues, was priceless. I got chills when Riverclan flipping sprung them from the Lake. Beautiful

If y’all wanna know my pre-read prediction, it was that Windclan would use their speed to draw the rogues out as bait, Shadowclan would be hiding in the *cough SHADOWS and attack them from behind once they got them into the forest. Thunderclan would lead a brutal assault from the front, while Skyclan surprised them from above. Then they would drive them onto the lakeshore where Riverclan was hiding in the water the whole time, and then proceed to give the rogues, the beating of a lifetime. Tada.

I'm 12 Months late but I personally didn't like it all that much. While in theory it sounded really cool, The Kin were just cut off so suddenly that it put me off and made it feel kind of corny. I still love Onestar/Darktail's death.

My current AU is set to end after VoS, so I’ll be pulling out all the stops and things will get…bloody. Everything from actual suicide missions to executions via barbecue grill to a final battle that has the remaining combatants up to their bellies in red mud and spilled guts. Who’s left standing by the end will be determined by coin flips. It’s not a horror story, but I did take a lot of inspiration from the Destroyermen books.

I like how Needtails death seemed to have an effect on more then one cat. For many She was a villain, for some she was a friend, for even fewer She was a victim. But for one She was a mother and sister who helped them with struggling through their emotional turmoil. I hope to see more charters like this in the future who are more gray and not black and white. I'm attchaly really HOPING Shadowpaw is that charter or Bristlefrost!

She should have been the main protagonist for the whole arc and die at the very end. She has so much potential and her character development was so good. I can clearly say that she's one the most complex hero characters in the whole series alongside with Ivypool. The character development of Firestar is nothing compare to Ivypool or Needletail.

As a side note, Briarlights Death was actually one of the saddest deaths in the series so far. So many great (but sad) deaths in this arc

I found the mini arc with Twigbranch and Finleaps relationship problems to be interesting. It was something new for warriors and in the end did get an at least ok closure. One thing I wanted to see was Twigbranch befriending Thunderclan cats other than her dad Alderheart and her mentor Ivypool. This would make her desire to stay in Thunderclan even more meaningful, seeing that she really does belong and has cats in the clan who care about her.

My favorite moment was definitely when Fernsong offered to be in the nursery in Ivypool's place, it was just too adorable. It hasn't been shown if he was true to his word but I really hope he was lol

I liked that the new chatacters actually had relatable conflicts and personalities. Alderheart's anxiety and need to impress his father and Violetshine not fitting in to clan life really had me crying. Needletail having /actual character growth/ is so so refreshing for warriors. And the big sister like relationship between her and violetshine was sweet and realistic

Oh man I agree with the Alderheart thing. He always was thinking of Skyclan it was SO IMPORTANT to him, I was waiting for him to go be their medcat since... thunderclan has... enough... I did enjoy this arc over all tho. Like you said, the death scenes are probably where it shines Really hoping for another POV from an antagonist (doesn't have to be a VILLAIN though that'd be cool just antagonistic cat) like Dawn of the Clans did. I think that'd be super interesting.

I loved the twist of Darktail being Onestar’s son and the final confrontation between the two. The death scene of both cats gave me goosebumps. I hope in the next series we get more from RiverClan and from the abundance of background characters in ThunderClan: if they’re all still around and about, why not use that, you know?

This was a wonderful welcome back to Simmy Speaks!! I was sooo hyped when I saw this series was coming back and now it’s here and I loved it just as much a usual! I agree with most of these points, and I really liked the Alderheart joining SkyClan idea. And the comments on Leafpool, the most wonderful dead girl walking in ThunderClan. One part I really adored in this series was Kestelflight!! He always seemed like a bit of a blank slate, but I think it added to his character a bit having him betray Onestar and give ShadowClan the lungwart. Anyways, loved the video, as usual uwu

What I liked in Vision of Shadows is that they didn't go down the medicine cat forbidden love with Velvet and Alderheart and where they took Violetshine's relationship with Tree, With The Velvet Alderheart situation I felt that not only would it feel overdone what with Leafpool right there, but I felt it would de-track from Alderheart as a character. His struggles with his self worth and living up to his duty are clearly important to him and it feel like betrayal to his very beliefs if he gave up his responsibilities for something selfish. That said I do like how it strengthens Alderheart as a character by showing us that he's willing to stand by his morals and duty even when it's in conflict with his wants. It also gives us insight into the bond between Jayfeather and Alderheart (which I choose to view as the fond irritation one would feel for a grumpy uncle one would be particularly close with) Alderheart clearly respects Jayfeather's opinion and it's nice to see Jayfeather show an emotion other than the different, *riveting* shades of grumpy. With Violetshine and Tree I personally like that the books showed how both were prepared to separate. Don't get me wrong! I love them as a couple but I like how their romance doesn't define them, like I felt Dovewing's and Tigerheart's relationship was what defined them as characters for the longest time. While, in Violetshine and Tree's case it felt less mandatory and more like a choice. Both were completely prepared to live without the other, unhappily of course but through their journey they learn just how important each other is to them (Tree more so than Violetshine by a lot but you get my point). Other things I loved; Fuzzball and Jayfeather's slow descent to madness. (What can I say I'm a special little sadist 😇) The idea that Violetshine will have kits because you have to admit they'll undoubtedly be adorable.

Half of this arc was filler; Darkest Night is somewhat fitting into that though it allows SkyClan to get used to the territory and establish everything they needed. River of Fire and Raging Storm though...

Now I really wanna see a lets rewrite of a vision of shadows by you! Also, I'm surprised how almost no one that I know of is disappointed that Puddleshine comes in as this big conflict for ShadowClan, really setting up how bad things were in now they don't even have a medicine cat and StarClan hadn't sent a sign. It's like they forgot about ShadowClan! then Puddleshine just being a filler character. My favourite book of this ark was easily Shattered Sky, I love how SkyClan returned and is now tied with WindClan as my favourite Clan! I love how Leafstar grew because in SkyClan's destiny she let others walk all over her and now she has authority. I love the battle with the kin at the end. I love that scene with Onestar as he revealed that Darktail is his son. I loved Needletail's sacrifice. I love the conflicts with SkyClan. I love Hawkwing and his relationship with his kits. It's really good! And I can't wait to see what the broken code has to offer!

Can't wait what else you got in the storage for this series so I shall be waiting for the next video to pop up~ For me personally what I loved about Vision of Shadows was SkyClan and the way they were introduced back and were trying to settle in! As a long time SkyClan fan, I was thrilled to see my favorite characters being fit into the other four Clans AT LONG LAST and get the recognition they really deserved ♥ Overall VoS is definitely one if not my the favorite arc right now! They really nailed (despite few plot flops as you talked about) the series and the ending was honestly nearly making me cry ;w; VoS also brought me back from warriors after not actively reading the series for few years~ Good job Erins! I hope that the next arc does as good of a job as VoS!

In my opinion, I hated Vision of Shadows because it was so bad to me it almost made me stop reading Warriors. I’m still on River of Fire and every once in awhile I’ll read a page or two and then drop it because it’s so unorganized and makes no sense.

Yeah warriors stopped being so interesting and magical when power of three ended imo. But I still really really enjoy reading the older books, especially super editions, like Yellowfang’s Secret, Crookedstar’s Promise, and Tallstar’s Revenge

I think my favorite arc is The Broken Code. So far, none of the characters I dread reading about - like your Lionblaze, or another boring character. The plot is interesting and has lots of potential, and every time the fans figure out a mystery (Ashfur) another is introduced (Spiresight). And while there are some things I would add or change to make it better, overall the three books we have plus what we know about Darkness Within and Place of no Stars is very interesting and definitely something I'd recommend. One thing, though . . . the interesting deputies (Crowfeather, Squirrelflight, and Hawkwing) all have leaders who have lost two-one lives. Since Crowfeather and Squirrelflight are old, I'm worried if Warriors is going to end. If not, I worry about how they're going to create a new arc with so many characters that are that old.

I'm a little late, but I actually JUST started Shattered Sky and I cant be happier with the way the series is going. I know a lot (what can I say, I love spoilers) but there's also SO much to read still, I've bought the whole series along with Hawkwing's Journey, Crowfeather's Trial and Tigerheart's Shadow and I'm reading them all in their exact order. I can't wait to see how this series turns out.

Needletail's death was the most emotionally impactful scenes in Warriors, period. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I seriously have never been as invested into Warriors than in Shattered Sky. Also, I loved seeing a protagonist in Warriors be so unsure of himself in a way that I haven't seen in any other cat. Alderheart is good. AVoS also introduced me to one of my favorite characters in the entire series, Tree. A Vision of Shadows basically rekindled my love for this series, and I have to thank it for that

So somethings I enjoyed, Hawkwing is probably my favorite daddy and Skyclan cat of all time! Tree's power was different and weird but it's interesting to explore roles in the clan beyond warrior and medicine cat. I really ship him and Violetshine, they are so sweet. Darktail was a truly terrifying villian, taking over two Clans and Onestar being the father was a nice touch. Awesome death scene. Sleekwhisker just being a minor villian and killing Rowanclaw, unable to let go of her hatred for him was neat. Another cool thing was the different sibling pairs we saw in this arc: Alderheart and Sparkpelt, Twigbranch and Violetshine and Dovewing and Ivypool (breifly). They all had trouble with understanding who the other person was/ personality differences while wanting to maintain that closer sibling relationship. That's something that may not always easy to read but relatable. Twigpaw almost dying and then bringing Skyclan back and meeting her father, that was well deserved for her personality. Tigerheartstar being leader after he lost a life was different(wasn't he thrown in the Moonpool or something) and cool but I was not as happy with his attitude towards Skyclan yet understandable in that he needs to rebuild his Clan. And juniperclaw using old fashioned poison, and then redeeming himself was done well. I'm interested in how they are going to make borders work with this clan. Gotta say, these leaders don't work all that well together. If you read all this, wow👏.

one of the things i really liked about vision of shadows was tree. he is a really interesting character in the fact he is a mediator and can literally s e e dead cats. a really meaningful moment to me was when pebbleshine got to see her kits and hawkwing. keep up the amazing work tennelle, you never cease to impress!

My favorite scene out of all was when Violetkit and Twigkit were being separated which is indeed a cruel and awful scene which oddly enough is the reason I like it of course the leaders where in the complete wrong but having such a dramatic scene is what kept me reading I read a sample of the new series and so far I’m quite interested I hope it doesn’t have as much filler this time

To be honest, during the time I read The Apprentices quest, I almost cried in school when Sandstorm died. It was heartbreaking. Well, at least Alderpaw and Needlepaw found Violetpaw and Twigpaw when they were kits. Who knows they could of died! My favorite characters are Alderpaw and Sparkpaw so yeah. Right now, I just started reading the 2 book of the vision of shadows. It’s pretty good so far

I love Vision of Shadows! I can relate with the character Twigbranch since I basically share the same personality with her and I have been in the same situation as her. Vision of Shadows was actually the first arc I had read since I had been too impatient to wait for the first book of the series to be available from the library. Pretty much the entire time I read the series I was in tears. When I was 6 I was separated from my sister and not allowed to see her, yet I am closest with her via texting. She has lived in a worse off situation than mine and is less positive, and she herself relates to Violetshine and the series made us both cry. I just loved the arc and was so happy when they got the chance to live with each other but understood that if Twigbranch did that she would have to leave everyone else she knew and cared for. I’m not sure what clan I would rather Twigbranch have stayed in, but the entire arc was very sweet and emotional. Also, I love the idea of Alderheart becoming the SkyClan medicine cat, and I was kind of expecting that to happen as well.

The characters from this arc are phenomenal! I actually made a post on Warriors Amino about if I wrote these books (inspired by your New Prophecy rewrite video which was super good!) And in a way i kind of feel the opposite way. Shattered Sky's pacing was terrible. Also I hate how early they killed off Darktail. It absolutely killed the tension

I agree with you about Alderheart! I like how you did with Alderheart proving to Frecklewish about being a medicine cat for skyclan and staying as Thunderclan has TOO MANY medicine cats. Usually each clan has 1-2 the most. It would make sense for Leafpool to stay with Shadowclan until they have a proper medicine cat (aka Shadowpaw) and Aldeheart in Skyclan to aid Frecklewish. This would make more sense and one I REALLY hoped as...Alderheart never really had a strong connection in Thunderclan.. 1. He was sent to the medicine den to train JUST BECAUSE he missed prey! I mean come on, I bet learning to hunt and catch prey is hard, its not easy and the fact that bramblestar treated his son like that....ugh that's one of the reasons that ticked me off. 2. Where was Squirrelflight in all of this? I felt like in the book she never really really was part of his life in the books to support him much in my opinion or anywhere in the series. Hopfully in her new book coming out we may see how she thinks about her son suddenly against his will of becoming a medicine cat. All in all...just bad story telling in my opinion...

Nice to see simmy back. Good video. Somethin i enjoyed with A Vision of Shadows was Needletail. She became a stuck up little prick that hated on everyone to a hero and Alderhearts best friend. Im just so sad that Needletail was killed but the Erins did it so well that im ok with it. That last paragraph where Alderheart was reflecting on everything he did within the arc and calling back to Needletail made my heart ache.

I miss Needletail and Sandstorm I loved them and seeing them go sucked... Sandstorm I never really was into but her death made me cry which is pretty hard to do if I have a set mind on not liking a character.

All honesty I enjoyed River of Fire because of the scenes between Jayfeather and Alderheart. They actually felt somewhat connected for once, and just Jayfeather in general was enjoyable in that book (I might be biased though because I’d consider him one of if not my absolute fsvourite character) Like the whole Velvet thing where Jayfeather actually TALKS to Alderheart about it and is like “you’re a good medicine cat and we need you” almost killed me because he was just like “oh” when Alderheart assured him he wasn’t leaving, the interactions with Fuzzball had me dying, and Briarlight’s death almost made me cry just by how choked up and emotional he was I love both Jayfeather and Alderheart can you tell

I actually really liked the Puddleshine poison in the last book and I actually enjoyed the entire arc in general. Used to be my favourite arc, but that crown now goes to Broken Code, which I would love to hear your thoughts on. Keep up the amazing work!

For me, the books really slowed down after Darktail died. It felt like he died to soon. I would have liked him to make a brief comeback and maybe even an escape. Another thing I was really disappointed about was Fernsong. I was really looking forward to him being in the nursery and really taking part in the raising off there kits. I was extremely disappointed when he wasn’t even mentioned in the nursery once.

Honestly my favourite thing about avos is needletail, shes become my favourite character after reading shattered sky, shes just so interesting, she made so many mistakes but paid the ultimate price.

I liked almost everything, because I suck at criticising books especially from a series I love. Darktail, Tree, and Violetshine were my favourite parts.

I was never a big fan of Alderheart joining Skyclan permanently, but I do like the story idea of him joining after their return only for one of their medicine cats to come back, I think Fidgetpaw would be a better choice since she’s still an apprentice and Alderheart would have more reason to stick around as her mentor, Alderheart would find himself unexpectedly placed in a mentor role far sooner then he probably thought and with a rebellious apprentice no less.

I saw the picture of Lost Stars and freaked out for a moment until I remembered I finally preordered it- HURRY UP TOMORROW- Some of my favorite moments are the ones that I thought were gunna be horribly done and hated by fans- Starting out on a quest, Needletail's personality and character, The Kin scenes, Darktail and Onestar's deaths, Dovewing's return(am i the only one who likes her?....), and the fact Skyclan came back. Some stuff that was disappointing or I outright hated were how Sparkpelt had basically nothing in the story besides throwing Alderpaw into being a Medicine Cat for no real reason honestly, Alderpaw being so clumsy that HE CANT BE A WARRIOR OBVIOUSLY so he wont be clumsy with important medicine yknow, the fact Thunderclan had 3 medicine cats for the arc also bugged me the whole time, the entire relationship drama with Twig and Fin that I honestly just skimmed and shoved it all down to forget, how flat some of the plot "ideas" were and that were never used. Like you said though, Alderheart joining SkyClan wouldve been so cool, and the deaths were really memoriable. The Kin were freaking great and made me really either feel hate or sympathetic to each cat. I can't wait to continue with The Broken Code now. QwQ

I personally started out with this version of warriors I'm still in the middle of it I'm on river of fire rn but I absolutely loved all 3 main characters. Alderheart the kind lovingedicine cat that cares for all of the clans even kitty pets. I love what they did with violetshine in these books having needletail die made me cry especially since she was becoming more and more of a sister to violetshine. Twigbranch is kinda aqward in the fact she left Thundercats to join skyclan and then vice versa but I too loved her character.
