How many people were in love with this girl... I used to listen to this song and think of my girl friend at the time. I drove a truck at the time and was lonely on the road and she was in college. This was in 84 and we were married in 86 and still are here in 2024...

Fun fact, Vision Quest was released in the UK and Australia under the title "Crazy for You". Also, Modine and Fiorentino were 25 and 26 years old at the time of this movie.

Hmmm... but they really didnt look like highschoolers, perhaps bcs I was just 11 in 1985 and so I thought "they looked old" LOL - I didn't realize how beautiful Linda Fiorentino was (not until I watched the movie later in the 90s), and well Matthew Modine looked his age for sure... I am not sure why they never succeed much in their careers. Crazy for You and Gambler (well forgotten song) to me were the highlights...

I watched this video dozens of times on New York Hot Tracks in 1985,...and to my surprise... watching it again after almost 40 years,...and it's refreshing to see Madonna in that outfit back then....

I tried watching this movie for the first time last week - - I couldn't stop laughing after the diner scene when the father says "she's been around the block" when the girl is only 21 ROFL, I couldn't take it serious any more, I realised this is just a weird twisted creeper movie, he's 18, saw an opportunity with an air-headed woman who gets invited to this father and son's house and they trust her just like that to live in their house? And she happens to be the not-such-a-hooker-with-a-heart of gold for the 18 year old to get his rocks off? Ridiculous movie. Great song by Madonna though, I love the song LOL
