Yes, a great team of developers and riders - but what was the result ? Obviously a single cylinder , looks like twin cam , and then ? Did you make any advances ? Have you got improved engine mapping ? Is it counter rotating ? Has it got a balancer ? Did you save any weight , if so , where ? Was cooling improved by clever methods ? Service intervals ? A reduced parts count ?, How many gears - 4, 5, 6 , 7 ? , alternator ouput ? , Reduced starter motor weight ? , Literally anything at all about the actual engineering results of everyones hard efforts.

It is kinda obvious if scuba and the rest is going to enter Supecross with this bike as a team they want a product / bike that is capable of winning, or do you think they want to go race something they dont believe in? Beerik boots won two major titles and they came from scratch making a boot with zero backrounds in mx.’ Triumph have experience in two wheels and four strokes, and people should know by now tyst the goat has never sugercoated anything, if he likes it or he need changes, he gets what he wants, the entire company be proactive. Eric Buell was building a Competative 500 CC Two Stroke GP Bike .. Kenny Roberts had already built an Amazing 500 CC Two Stroke bike called the Proton then the AMA up and changed the rules allowing 1,000 CC Four Strokes to compete against 500 CC Two Strokes. Two strokes have a power valve on the exhaust port for better low end power.. 4 Strokes can use Variable cam timing.

Big QUALITATIVE claims like impressive across the curve - I doubt there's any variable cam timing to make this motor specifically remarkable againt the sea of other modern, iteratively designed and proven market leaders so unless you have the guts to actually state an engine weight and show a flywheel power/torque curve or comment of specific design features optimsed/unique to triumph at the component level - cut the nonsense market crap. KTM have the guts to state their EXC500 engine assembly weight, actually advertise unique design features and you tought marketing nonsense after such a long wait. Common guys.

Agreed, I'd have to assume Triumph is looking for the most significant impression and development area invesment wise that they can have an impact on in the dirt scene to kickstart their entry into the segment, fingers crossed the bike and company backing is big enough to support a evolution of a line of enduro and mx bikes in kind that people actually want to buy. Makes sense they would enter MX first as its the biggest platform for them to gain market respect, support R&D and grow the their dirt line.

I have friends that rode enduros on Triumphs I guess in the 60’s and 70’s but I never saw any. I am really looking forward to seeing the bike. I think the video said RC will be riding it Sept 5. Fun times for sure. If only Suzuki could get there $hit back together.

Call me a skeptic, but I can't help but wonder why the shots of the engine are so dark. Are they trying to hide something? In one of the shots toward the end you can see a hose clamp that looks too long. Do they not have hose clamps the right length? The finish on the internal engine components looks a little rough too. That said... I'm glad to see Triumph jumping into the market. I hope the bikes are great and I'm just overthinking the video.

Hi all. I notice a plastic idler gear in the photos of the motor, is that the oil pump drive? I hope this is made of better material than the KTM/husqvarna ones that killed hundreds of engines. Mine died with less than 100hrs on the motor and with it being maintained spot on,KTM modified the part without giving a recall which would have saved so much money for owners.I believe KTM for 2024 are getting rid of the plastic gear? Is that a prototype part or full production part? Good luck with this project it will be great to see your brand racing back on the dirt.
