I'm surprised that you didn't leave the part inside the chamber and allow it to cool down slowly. This will releave internal stresses and make the part stronger and won't warp as it cools down. Of course you will anneal it but still might be a good idea to let it cool slowly.

Currently work at a Fortune 500 company. I am part of the maintenance team at said company and I have been tasked with finding a printer and I have been heavily pushing this printer over a markforged FX10 I think you guys have something great going on and I think it is very competitive and I think a lot of the larger players unless things change will struggle to remain competitive

Arent those like 100k? I think the 22 is only 15k!
@Deceased-Prince8 минут бұрын
@chadwickalexanderjr1758 yeah big cost difference. our site's budget is 160k And that's supposed to include training, software, and any accessories like 3D scanners with the Mark forge we don't really have any wiggle room with the 22 we could probably get two to four and still have plenty of room for everything else depending on what the rest of the team wants

Definitely would recommend a slightly altered approach to the mouse ears. 1. right click the part 2. Click add part 3. Select from gallery 4. Select disc 5. Place and then copy paste. This ensures the discs are sliced as part of that same part and it creates the perfect shape without having to resize the cylinder. Great video and cool filament!

And I would recommend using Orcaslicer, where you just have to select the mouse tab from the flanges menu and specify the size. The slicer will automatically generate it.

Been printing with high temp filaments for some time now, was able to pick up on some pointers to use in my workflow from this vid, thank you.

Something to keep in mind, when printing sequentially, it's less headache to place them front/rear than side/side. Side/side, your parts have to be shorter than the gantry. The xy and z clearance you can adjust next to selecting sequential, or print by object aren't perfect. If you have a big 4028 duct, you need more space behind the nozzle than you do in the front. I normally stagger them L,R,L,R back to front, but you'll want to order them according to where your printer parks during a pause, so it can't crash. Food for thought.

Great video guys! This video would really benefit from some B roll from within the machine when you do critical stuff. Wish we had a reason to run Ultem!

6:16 If you don't merge your parts, the 3D printer can end up shaking itself to death. Not that I'd ever be so dumb to do this myself. 🤥 Thanks for another interesting video.

It is possible to have the printing profile for this material? I am using the same slicer. Thank you in advance

Cool printer. How much does that part cost in ULTEM?
@VisionMiner19 сағат бұрын
Approximately $4.06 in raw material $145 for 500g spool of ULTEM 9085 = $0.29/gram, the part is about 14 grams with the lily pads, so roughly $4 :) Insane cost savings compared to competing brands, on material alone -- not to mention the machine, at $15k vs. $150k, practically instant ROI for any company using these materials and additive already

How does ULTEM 9085 compare to PPSU ? Specifically how does the toughness and moisture absorbency compare ?

When you resized the cylinder you could have just typed in .2mm. Uncheck the ratio box first.
