This just like when Elio crying in the end, but he still remember that day midnight they have been through. He seems recalling that day midnight … I'm getting more and more sad after I understand. I’m dead 🥲☠️

Can't believe how long it's been, and how many times I've watched the film, heard the music, the fire in the end, yet I still get emotional over the simple starting notes of the piano each and every time.. It seems to me, this piece of art will stay in my heart for a lifetime

He was still crouched low in front of a sleeping Allison in their living room when he had snapped out of his thoughts. With the earlier memories clear in his mind he gently scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. As he lowered her onto the bed he found himself reluctant to leave. He gingerly sat on the side of the bed having tucked her in. Contrary to his earlier promise to himself, he knew he was the cause of her misery. What kind of wife would like their arrangements? Allison was perfect. She was repeatedly the top student of her college until she graduated, assistant lecturer at a nearby college, a successful business woman and worked from home ever since their marriage. Looking at her sleeping form he realized despite never actually having looked at her intently before he already had her features inked in his memory. Her dark hair spread like ink onto the pillow, her form heaving up and down gently as she breathed. Lips slightly parted, she had a prominent cupid’s bow; her lips naturally a crimson shade. She had a straight nose, thick eyebrows and heavy lidded eyes. Even though they were now closed he could recall easily that she had amber eyes. They were few years apart and he recalled how she’d always tell him she’d grow up propose to him when she was younger. He’d laugh, pat her head gently and tell her she’ll rethink her decision once she grows up. She’d stay unmoved, look at him firmly through her lashes and tell her he’d be the only person she’d ever love as long as she breathed. His breath would get hitched in his throat but he’d push it down and tell her she’d be free to do as she pleased when she grew up and the discussion would end there. As he and Allison’s father did not get along well, he stopped presenting himself when they came over and would never visit them himself. So had actually not expected her to still like him when they actually grew up and had found someone else himself. A slowly furrowing brow, then a corresponding grumble and she had turned to his side, still sleeping soundly. If I had kept in touch with her, would she and I have had a happy ending? Would she be happy now? Or would she be fed up of me by now anyway? He found himself wondering why she wasn’t fed up of him yet when all he gave her was distance and more distance. He had taken her hand so he could never let go but he’d let her walk out if she ever wished to. He realized he had leaned in closer than before and his hand was hovering right by her hair on the pillowcase. With a gasp he pulled back. No, this was just wrong. She was sleeping and this was wrong in general. He could not touch Allison when he had still not managed to clear his head of...of her. He got up to leave but a hand held him back. Allison had woken up. - Listen I can ex- A tug and she was leading his hand back to her hair again. Their faces were close. Heat seeped through his skin, his heart raced and he felt a tug in his stomach. Her hair was soft. ‘I never provided any conditions to our marriage, remember?’ -But- ‘No, I agreed to yours but never said I’d apply them to myself too’ she grinned sleepily. Jake caught himself staring at his wife but could not pull away. He did not know why.- Still, you should be mad. ‘My crush, my husband wants to play with my hair. Why would I be mad?’ he felt his ears go warm at that. twitter:@julyswillow

i feel like the only people that find this movie romantic dont realize how bad age gap relationships usually are psychologically. oliver spoon fed melodramatic romance to a teenage son of a friend to get sex on vacation. then went home to get married, because he knew elio was a fling. this movie is sad and touching but its not romantic. please do not think this is a good kind of bad like aww they were in love!! its like...its bad because oliver is a creep and finessed a 17 year old. if you are olivers age like i am you realize how disturbing it is to want to be with someone elios age. if youre closer to elios age i imagine you dont see how bad it is...but it is. i didnt used to think it either. but when you get older, you will learn. lovely acting, amazing music, beautiful cinematography. all wasted on this abomination of a story.
