Looks like if you’ve played the Trials of Mana remake you’ll understand everything. The only thing that’s been added from what I can tell are elementals being able to be equipped to any party member rather than being locked into them.

PRetty much. It's been a while since I played Trials, but the gameplay here felt much more customizable. While trials was definitely a good time, it was a pretty faithful remake of SNES game so there wasn't a lot of room for player expression. Between the 5 party members you can pick from, 8 classes per character with at least 3 weapons, the hotbar and magic.. I'm not saying this will be as good as black myth wukong, but its going to have at least as much customization which is exciting.

Just wanted to thank you for making this video! I just beat the demo for the first time and was finding the basic attack combat a little lacking - the skills and CS and elemental vessels were interesting but I couild not for the life of me figure out why the combat felt like there was nothing to it, just the one basic combo with each button. I'm so used to passive skills in skill trees just being a boring stat boost that I think I just kind of flicked over them, not realizing they offered up different attack patterns. I'd been feeling a little iffy about how it all played on that basis, but after watching this I'm planning to jump back in and see what a difference it makes having all the additional options.

You are welcome! But I also must warn you after putting about 30 hours into the game, my own personal opinion is.. it sucks. Not worth.

Game is low key ass, and they shut down the studio to boot. I retract my statement that it's better than you think. it's not. Fun for like 8 hours but it starts falling off real quick. What you see in this video is as deep as the combat ever gets.
