Yeah I'd absolutely watch it but I'm still holding out hope I somehow get the game myself and I want to experience it on my own v.v I'll probably go back and watch after either playing it or giving up on getting it

As a fan of indie games, it's a pity that Hades didn't pull numbers, but I get the reasoning. Streaming in general rewards certain types of games and heavy story-based games tend to get pushed aside. Hopefully that changes at some point, but who knows. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the games you like on your free time. Hades 2 is 100% a game that deserves attention.

I mean, it makes sense for story-based games. Many people don't want spoilers, and also if it's a playthrough that takes multiple streams, if you miss one of them it's not gonna be the same if you don't watch the VOD (depending on the game, of course), so people might not be watching future streams of the game because of it. I don't think there's something anyone can do about it, at least for those types of games.

Talking about the numbers, it does have a little lasting effect. I didn't enjoy the Hades game, so I didn't watch, but that meant I also missed the AmongUs time too because.. heck, EVERY time I looked it was Helljumpers or Hades or Pokemon (Pokemon got real tiresome real quick). So I quit looking to begin with. Found others to watch in the meantime. Checked back every week or so (or relied on KZbin to view the occasional bit I liked). That's how low numbers in one game can temporarily(or permanently) reduce numbers of others, even if they're the "but numbers" popular games
