🤔 I'm no fan of boxy and breakable solar panels on the walkable coach roof space - regardless of efficiency. IMO, there's far less to worry about with the 'set and forget' slim profile or flat/flexible installation, and efficiency continues to improve.

Can definitely appreciate your perspective. The way our panels will be situated, they will be out of the way to walk the boom area when centered, so this is not a concern for us. The LG panels used have a 25 year warranty compared to flexible having somewhere between 5 and 10. They also deliver about 33% more peak power per area than a comparable flexible panel and they delivery a lot more power with low sun angles, so total power throughout the day is significantly higher. Flexible panels also heat the fiberglass as they are applied directly to the boat, where the air gap on rigid prevent that. We don't plan on ever really plugging in, so maximizing the power we take in is the most important to us, even if that means we have to be more careful.
