We're taking Joe to the "Thai NASA" headquarters to show him how homemade rockets are made and launched. You're gonna be blown away!
Witness the awe in Joe's face for yourself as he views how traditional rockets are made, hears the story of Lord Thaen, the god of rain, and sees all the festivities, including parade buses, wooden phalluses, Soi Ju, and so much more.
Description:
Rocket making is a long-standing tradition in the northeastern region of Thailand. This knowledge is passed down from generation to generation, and each community has its own secret formula.
Boon Bang Fai or the Rocket Festival is held before the rice planting season in May as a rainmaking ritual. In this festival, villagers of all ages, including monks, come together to enjoy the festivities, with local government agencies supervising the event to ensure safety.
