This is the most beautiful place. It was my home for seven years and I loved every minute, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter were all wonderful in their own way. It was never lonely, there were visitors to the lighthouse all year round, and after Paul McCartney and Wings single of The Mull Of Kintyre in 1977/78 it got busier and busier. I would go back there tomorrow to live.

I lived there for 3 and a half years my first and last posting as a lighthouse keeper. 1 lived there 1974 to 1977 I had a young daughter so she needed other children to play with.Sometimes it was great other times I wondered what I was doing there A good experience over all It was bleak in the winter 😗
