Rafi Saabs family moved to Lahore well befor Partition. It was much later when as a young aspiring artist that he travelled to Mumbai. His family (Parents, brothers etc..) was already in Lahore at the time of Partition. At the time of partition Rafi saab was in Mumbai and his family in Lahore.
