Welcome to "Tales from Tuscany"!
We are Marisa and David, Australian expats now living part-time in Chianni Tuscany.
During the Global Pandemic, we decided to buy our Italian dream home, sight unseen and with no prior knowledge of the area.
This is our journey and we are taking you along with us!
TODAY'S VLOG...
So today, having left Tuscany, I am now visiting with my gorgeous friends Sue & Fiona in Umbria.
After leaving their part of the region, we have ventured south east towards the gorgeous village of Città delle Pieve (Colin Firth's ex home) then onto the very forested area outside of Piegaro to meet some fellow KZbinrs and friends, Debbie and Stijn from "Our Italian Destiny" (link below).
They were mid olive harvest and we made a flying visit as we had our own olives to pick!
So off we went to stunning Todi and the fantastic property of some other Australian expats, Pietro and James, who run the most magnificent holiday rental on their panoramic property.
Join us on our olive harvest and see the spectacular vistas from their amazing poolside terrace. It was breathtaking...you'll see!
This was my last 2 days in Italy before returning to Australia for the summer, so next week's video will be my "How to but a home in Italy" vlog with updated information and some great info on buying at auction as well!

Yes it was a wonderful. way to end my journey. I have always loved Umbria...it's such a gentle place so it was the perfect place to end up and I would highly recommend to anyone going to Italy, to visit it for sure. @@talesfromtuscany if I understand correctly, you are planning to rent your house. I was wondering if you've already checked the rules in Chianni. As far as I know, you have to submit a SCIA to the Comune and register with the Regione before renting any apartments. Moreover, you need an account to register all your guests through the Police portal. I don't mean to put you off, just wondering if you knew about it cheers.

@Marisa Raoul - Tales From Tuscany just a quick question. Where you live did I hear you say you have a pool area? I take it it's for the residents of Chuanni? Would you do a photo scene of that, Thanks, Marisa

@@janetlombardi2314 Yes Janet, we have a gorgeous municipal pool just a few minutes walk from the central area of the village, overlooking the amazing Tuscan Hills. I couldn't photograph it up close last time, as it was closed for winter. It opens again in May, I think, so I'll get some footage for you once it reopens. It has a bar/cafe and is open until late on summer weekends. I spoke about it and we walked up to it, on our last vlog together before David went home. I'll be going there a lot...rest assured!!!😀🤩💙🏊‍♀

@@janetlombardi2314 Yes, it's an awesome plus for us! I'm a very keen swimmer and even though we are only 30 minutes to some beautiful beaches, I'm really excited about walking down to a lovely pool, where I can relax, swim and eat if I want to. I believe the maintenance is done by the council and there's a charge for lounge beds/umbrellas etc...not sure about entry fee yet. 😀🤩💙💦
