I'm just curious in some of this narratives. Well, I'm from Umudim village in Ibagwa Ani town of Nsukka local government area and we have same name in Nnewi (Umudim Nnewi) Anambra . Now, in this video again, the name Ekete comes to light in cos mu mother is from Umu-Ekete in Amafor Ibagwa-Ani in same Nsukka LGA of Enugu state which is also mentioned here as the name of one of the grandson of Eri represented by one of the chiefs through the second son of Eri, Attah as claimed also in Anambra state. So, I'm left wondering about how all this are linked together.

He claims that the Igbo people originated from where he’s at, that’s aguleri in anambra Nigeria. It’s just a mere speculation from my understanding of that area, cos there’s no substantial evidence to back that up. He might be right but I never got told by my parents that’s our origin. It’s just an Anambra Igbo sub group origin. Cos all the communities he talking about is within the Anambra regional cluster.

People of southern Nigeria are all of the bantu tribe while the Hausas are of the Afro-Asiatic people and the Fulanis are Afro-Arabic people. It's so unfortunate that Nigeria is a where its history is not part of the educational curriculum. As a result of that most Nigerians are ignorant of their history and how they relate to eachother.

@@bobbywray4732 For ur information, d present day Israelites do not speak the original Hebrew language that was spoken by Jesus Christ and his Apostles. The language that was spoken during Jesus era is called Aramaic and it is different from the language spoken by present day Israelites. The present language of Israel is called modern Hebrew, but in actuality, it is a corrupted form of the Aramaic language that was spoken by Jesus and his Apostles. Language do evolve and for ur information, Israel has 12 tribes, out of which about 10 tribes are lost and scattered all over the world till date.

@@paturch7201 Hard for me to take you Serious SIR, looks like basic comprehension is a challenge for you. Just so you know Aramaic or what they would call palio Hebrew which was supposed to be spoken by Jesus was already a dead language by the 1st Century CE because of the Heavy Greek influence, the present day Europeans misrepresenting themselves in that land mass they renamed Isreal in 1948 is speaking Yiddish, not hebrew what they do is to use the original hebrew alphabet to represent Yiddish, that secret been out the bag now for a while now - just like the ntr in egypt no one has ever heard the language being spoken hence cannot be replicated.

When history isn't documented, what we get become conjectures. All African history without written records if subjected to critical scrutiny always fails to hold. Attah of Igala most likely didn't come from Aguleri but there's a strong relationship between Ndigbo and Igalas based on historical interaction. It was written that Igbos and Igalas easily mingled together very similar to how we mingled with the Benin. All the Nsukka areas had Igala influence but how comes all these communities were purely Igbo speaking and not even dual speaking. The same on the Anioma side especially the Ika area. All of them are purely Igbo speaking despite the Benin influence with all her kingdom power. There's no dual language in Ika. One question remains. What is the language that was used for interaction those days in these communities I mentioned? It most probably was Igbo language. Mind you that Ndigbo never had a United Kingdom to push our influence and language into non-Igbo communities. This means that whichever community speaks only Igbo today(and as at early 20th century) was originally Igbo community. This means that all the Igala claims at Nsukka and other parts of Igboland is null and void. The same is applicable to Anioma and particularly the Ika area. You can't live at a close proximity to a powerful kingdom like Benin and be speaking Igbo only yet claim you're of Benin descent. There are few communities where dual languages involving Igbo and other languages are noted. These are the type of areas that can and should be debated. In Enugu state at the boundary is a community called Etteh. From the information I have, it is said that they are Igbo speaking, Igala speaking as well as Idoma speaking right from time. In Edo, we have Ekpon and Inyelen. They are said to be Igbo and Esan speaking. In Anambra, we have the Olumbanasa who are Igbo and Igala speaking. Throwing away a language when you are not under any threat to do so isn't easy which shows that dual speaking communities most probably was formed by these communities with either one coming to the location first before others arrived when the community is yet to be properly organized by the first comers. Or the first people that came had a smaller population before the second group came with a bigger population and influenced heavily the community. By and large, it isn't logical to claim a neighbouring community that doesn't speak your language as your descendants. It makes no sense. The question is; why did they stop speaking your language if they were actually your people and you're just next door? Note: There's one single word that connects Igbo, Igala and Igodomigodo(Bini). That word is 'Idu' or 'Iduu'. What does this word mean to the three three different people? Notice that the three of them including the 'Idu' begin with the letter 'I'. They all belong to the YEAI group of languages. Igbo = Igboid group Igala = Yoruboid Bini = Edoid
