I took the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to Tokyo this week. I reserved a seat on the left hand side to try to see Mt Fuji and was so excited. The weather was perfect all the way to Mt Fuji. I was closely watching google maps on my phone to make sure I would know when Mt Fuji was near. Suddenly a large cloud became visible and I could just see the very top of Mt Fuji. A few photos of cloud later with the very top of Mt Fuji, the Shinkansen had passed and all the cloud suddenly disappeared. I will happily return to Japan to get a better look.

Oh, I like so much when you go to visit not famous treveler spots. There are so many of them. The open air architecture park in a nice hugr park is really something. It enables everyone to experience old times. Really interesting! This large old traditional house was so impressive. I can understand your disappointment with the Mt. FUJI view in comparisson to Instagram, but it is the reality and I appreciate it very much. By the way the sunset shots were top of the tops. Even the smaler places with maze of tigny streets, well lit, get vivid during the weekend, not to mention Shibuya which is usually crowded. Claw machine syndrom again - but this is what it is. Congrats for a special video, so fun to watch. Hoping for the weather getting less rainy in the future to enable you more interesting filming. Stay safe & GAOOOO......

I have to correct Shinjuku instead of Shibuya - my brain was still sleaping early in the morning. Sorry!!!
@scottb828Ай бұрын
Two little tidbits about the open air architectural museum: The first house you visited was the scene of the original owner’s murder in one of the upstairs rooms (It’s mentioned on a sign there). And the commercial street with old shops was part of the inspiration for some settings in Spirited Away; Miyazaki lives not far from there and spent a lot of time among the old buildings.
