Well Walmart is bigger and better especially when Walmart remodeled and made their store bigger and don't forget target was big kmart bought sears and sears went down so did kmart kmart did not treat their employees good and their isn't anything at kmart that you can't at Walmart same stuff

All 5 of the Kmarts in Louisville and southern Indiana closed in the last 2 years, and I miss them. Now the closest one is 40 miles away, but I go when I'm in the area. Next time I go, I'll have to see if they have one of those trikes!

Channel Boogaloo lol. No and yes. Those adult trikes are unisex. They make the bar low so people can get in and out of them, but on a regular bike low bars are (generally) on girl bikes.

I believe that old junk about a boys/guys bike has to have a bar aka a ball buster bar is so stupid. Give me a so called girl bike and i will ride the heck out of it while ignoring the haters during my sweet time. Heck the bike i have was saved from the trash and its gears don't work but it's still a joy to ride. It has a bar but i wish it didn't because it's a tall bike which makes it a pain to get on. Whoa just remembered i rode it really far once to a now closed Suncoast Pictures which was right across from the Sears i shopped today because i wanted some Friday The 13th movies. Wanted to see how long it would take me to do the ride since it's not close. Took me an hour but it was really fun since it was at dusk then night with a head lamp that started to final which made it even more exciting. I survived which is more than i can say about the people in the Friday The 13th movies.

Excellent video. Both of my local Kmarts are closing soon, one of them closing tomorrow actually. Going in there brings so many memories back of good times and of my childhood, even though I’m only 15 lol. It feels like I’m losing a friend, to be honest. I wish people would have actually given it a chance so that maybe this wouldn’t have happened so soon. Kmart didn’t deserve this kind of outcome. But there will always be a Kmart sized hole in my heart...

My brother and I went to that store shortly before closing...Unfortunately, the store didn't have as many items as when you were there... BTW, I'm guessing S.S. Kresge and Sam Walton are not on speaking terms in The Great Beyond...

This is how I felt when our local Hastings shut down. Unlike K Mart though, a lot of stuff was really overpriced and I think technology had a lot to do with it.

It's sad. Elmhurst IL was on the latest closing list. It just got the latest remodel two months ago. Shows you the state of the company :(

I love Kmart as well!!! The Kmart 5 minutes away from me closed at the end of last year and I got so frustrated that the only time that they were busy was when they were closing. I have Walmart, Target, and Meijer about 5 to 10 minutes away from me as well, but I choose to drive 30 minutes away to buy things that I need at the "now" nearest Kmart.

Amen i have two Kmarts within a 30 minute drive and will goto them before i would goto Walmart ever. And Target is a never will shop there since they tried to screw our neighorhood over and put a Super Target right behind our street after they would have torn down a church and some woods. We fought them and won so they just build a small Target. Have walked thru it once or twice and to see what they had to offer but would never buy from them ever and it's about a minute drive or five minute walk from home. Had i seen something there i would have bought it somewhere else. They have been there for almost a decade i believe and will never shop there because of what they tried to do and the fact they put the Kmart where i worked which was the closest store to home out of business.

My local, childhood Kmart closed in December 2014 not long after a Wal-Mart Super Center opened 5 minutes away. Another Wal-Mart near the local mall stole Kmart's customers. Kmart could not survive located between 2 Walmart's

You're right, you're actually not getting a great deal. I bought a comforter set cheaper at my non-closing Kmart than I would have at another Kmart that was closing.

You're right about that. I bought some Elder Berry plants at a closing Kmart in Dayton Ohio and had gotten the same deal at a doing just fine Kmart in Harrison Ohio. But did get a real deal on Elderberry bushes at the Kmart in Richmond Indiana because it was close to the end of plant selling for the season and Elderberry bushes will look dead but the root system is just fine and will emerge sprouts if you just water them. Just noticed two days ago a sprout coming up and i bought them probably three to four weeks ago. Only went to the closing Dayton Kmart because i had been there (before the closing was listed) and bought Elderberry bushes about a month before so i knew they would still have some more. Planting tons of Elderberry bushes this year.

Now, I actually try to frequent the Kmart near me (the only reason I went to Walmart instead was the last time we wanted to go to the Big K, they were closed for the day.) I actually love the Kmart we have in Hagerstown MD better than the one my family used to frequent in my hometown (Frederick). It's a pretty nice store for having one of the price checkers being out of service, and I like buying snacks there. I'd rather not go through the larger seeming aisles of the Walmart just for a bag of chips, and Kmart's got a better Snapple selection than the rest of stores in my town. Anyway, I'm happy that I stumbled upon your channel. Y'all are awesome.

There are like 5 Kmarts left in my home state, Minnesota. If you're not in a big city, you won't find one. Also, I saw an abandoned Super K next to an operating Big K in Montana? Is that normal?

Where in Montana is this one at? I'd love to look at it on Google Street View at least. Super K's did tend to be built near-ish Big K's, but I never heard of right next to them. The Super K that used to be in our area was only about a 5 minute drive from the Big K.

Interesting, I wasn't aware they ever operated any Super Centers here in MT, I'd guess Kalispell or Great Falls maybe? Sadly there's only going to be 5 stores left here in a months time.

Channel Boogaloo I don't really remember. It was basically right next to it, but the Super K looked long gone, while the Big K looked more modern(ish). All I remember is that it was in a large city (at least for that area, around 30,000 people), and the Super K was in the process of demolition. The Big K looked to be bringing in decent business though

Alec Salloum I used to go to the Faribault Kmart when I was a kid (when it was still there). A few years after we moved away from that area, they relocated to Dundas. That Kmart closed awhile ago. The problem with Minnesota is that Target (headquartered in Minneapolis) has been pushing a lot of brands out of the state ever since they rose to prominence. If Sears ever ditches the Mall of America, I could easily see Target taking over and installing one of their Super Targets there. Sears is dying fast too here in MN. The Mankato location just shut down, and one of the Sears in St Cloud also closed. Kmart and Sears are on their last legs in Minnesota, and I don't think they'll last much longer

It's Sears Holdings, to offset their continued dropping revenue, they're taking Kmart locations, closing them, and selling off the property (many Kmarts owned their buildings). By the beginning of 2018, there will be less than 500 Kmarts nationwide, dramatically down from the 2,200+ at peak. RIP Kmart, you were a good brand...

Loving the Kmart Videos! We just went to one of the last 3 normal operating Kmarts in Colorado which is 45 min from me and got $90 dollars worth off stuff for $70 with shop your way points and bonus points. Money well spent and at least it's not going to Walmart. I have made an agreement with my self that I will avoid walmart at all cost and try to shop at Kmart and sears as much as I can.

This really hits close to home, my kmart closed last yr and while i worked during the closing people said "oh i never knew they had _______ that's so awesome! Then here were the other people who were trying to make deals like it was a flea market. Wal-mart was the death of kmart and a grocery store here when they went 24hr. So sad really .

I hate seeing Kmart struggle as much as they are. The three near me in Pleasant Hills, Bridgeville, and Mcmurry are still thriving I hope they don't close. The Monroeville and Mcintrye Kmart's have closed and been redeveloped into a home decor store called At Home.

The last two Kmarts in the Denver CO area are closing leaving only four Kmarts left in Colorado luckily one of them is 45 min from me and thriving and very clean!

ha ha that would be a start. You guys are really good advocates for an iconic American retailer that lots of people genuinely love and want to save. They should be looking for anything positive, unique and entertaining to promote Kmart and you fit the bill. What do they have to lose? There will be less than 500 Kmarts after this round of closures and pretty soon there will be zero unless they do something different. Eddie Lampert can't cut his way to profitability. I love Kmart because of the stores not Shop Your Way, although I do dig my points. ha ha

Love your Kmart Vids guys-anytime you go back just do a vlog. For those of us who love it, it doesn't matter if we've seen parts of the store before. We've had many Kmart close around us. And prior to my senior video I took my mom for old time sake to one that was a little bit away from us. I do have a question, there was one that was actually always super busy like any store you were going to, and it closed… Do you know why that would occur? That one really baffles me because it was jammin and had food and everything. Also ask your grandparents if they know anyone who has a old "spin for a sundae" would love to buy it!!!!

Nice video but I went to a Kmart that closed last September and nothing caught my eye at that store if they didn't buy other companies that went under as well as they did and didn't sell cheap quality of overpriced merchandise and update the feel and look of their stores they wouldn't be in debt and closing stores left and right there's only 1 Kmart in the Milwaukee Wisconsin Region and that one might close in 2018 and by the way Target is so much better

Talk to people about shopping at Kmart. I do plus show them the Super Great deals and Cool stuff i get there. Just recently my niece was all excited about my Route 66 shoes because she thought they were Vans. They look exactlly the same but they cost $ 8 bucks compared to Vans which would have run $40 to 50. Looking for another pair in my size at the every Kmart i visit.

When I say "See what it's got to offer", I mean that in comparison to its competitors, speaking to people who haven't been to Kmart in a long time or ever, as opposed to the stores they frequent. Actually you would be surprised at the different finds i come up with at all the different Kmarts i go to. Have gone to five different Kmarts in the last couple months and chanced upon a dual adjustable flashlight tool that i can wear around my neck or hang from something for light. Let me tell you it's one of the best tools i have ever bought. Quarrow Hands-Free Neck Light. Just looked online and Kmart sells it cheaper than Walmart.
