The sturgeon’s are very adorable I must say. I still think it’s very wild that you have your very own aquarium in your basement. there are so many underrated fish suitable for ponds. if i ever own a house and setup a raised koi pond i would add a few thicklip grey mullet. they are native to my area and can handle a wide range of salinities

I grew up near NYC and the wild sturgeon from the Hudson are huge and gorgeous, they took a lot of damage in their swims upstream and to their breeding habits from the intakes / outflow pipes from the nuclear power plant.

You might try Goliad Farms in Goliad Texas. They raise a ton of exotic fish, mostly smaller sizes, but it's a fantastic setup. They gave a tour to the guy who runs aquarium coop a few years ago

After you run out of fish you can add it would be awesome to see a focus on natural food for the fish, like catching minnows and filming them eaten. I remember the time you released snails, would be cool to release a bunch and watch them get annihilated by all the crazy fish you have.

Kinda sad no one breeds Scaphirhynchus platorynchus as a aquarium/pond fish that tolerates warm water well and doesn't grow large and is native to north america! Then of course you have Pseudoscaphirhynchus hermanni the perfect aquarium sturgeon, max size 12", very rare due to habitat destruction, needs to be captive bred to prevent extinction and selling some of the captive bred into the aquarium trade would allow for a profit and saving an endangered species.
