Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking time to connect with us! We so loved our time in the Lancaster...and indeed it was so very refreshing! Slowing down and enjoying the simple joys was such a gift to us we hope to keep practicing in our lives. Have a great day!

Your kids are funny! I have a daughter and family who live in Amish country. They lived in New Holland for a number of years and now live in Narvon. The Amish are definitely as individual as everyone else in the world just like you said.

I never would have thought to go visit Amish country! Too funny that the kids were deciding who they would live with if y’all decided to stay. I think it’s such a fascinating culture because there is so much secrecy around it. The food looked delicious and the people sound amazing! Do not tell my 4 yr old about the animal petting area though. She currently cries herself to sleep because I won’t let her have chickens 🐓 Thanks for sharing this area I never would have thought to visit. It looks like y’all learned a lot and had a great time!

"If mom goes Amish." Smart kids to plan ahead. LOL! Looks like you had a beautiful experience in Amish country. I think your advice to get off the main road is applicable for where ever we visit. The roads less traveled usually have the best adventures. :D

Yes! Those days just driving and wandering around were the absolute best...and connected us with real families who taught us so much! Indeed, those roads less traveled are the best adventures...I love that :)
