Love the Seagate! The landing craft; did you not get a photo of the training of the Royal Marines driving Land Rovers off of them roof rack deep into the sea? Olden Broken boat (Oldenburg) the long bridge (its wider, its longer, It fell down and was rebuilt ) back to Appledoore life boat station did you see the Hubber stone, the stone respecting the viking invasion ? Hubber the dane, he even got his own street Hubberstone, the street and stone are at each ends of the village but he popped in made a failed take over of the UK but here in Devon we built a shipyard over his raiding place and stuck a stone up at the other end of the village. Its a funny old area here in your film, Im not fully local yet I moved down here 8 yrs ago so another 30 to go, Thank You for sharing this film,

Thank you. It's nice sitting at home with the first cup of tea of the day looking at shots of where you live. Found it interesting, gives a different perspective. We have been here 10 years now and I promised myself never to take the area for granted, there is so much to do, see and explore - especially over the past year of lockdown. You where so lucky with the weather.

It was a cold wind at times but if you sat somewhere in the sun it was very pleasant! Fingers crossed for the Carnival weather!

Very nice. Good to see the old railway

I didn't realise Appledore once had a railway too. It is surprising to know it only lasted until the start of WW1 when the War ministry took its locos away for work with them. They never returned any! All that is left now is that plaque on the original station wall and absolutely nothing else.
