The grain silos have been an ongoing issue since the disaster: grain, especially if wet, will ferment and rot. That causes heat, and in a large stack enough heat to self-ignite. So they keep burning, all while the silos degrade more and more and become an even bigger hazard.

The Beirut explosion of August 2020 was a devastating tragedy that affected many people in the city and beyond. It was a shock to the community, leaving people feeling lost and helpless as their homes, jobs, and cars were destroyed. Many lives were lost and the city was left in ruins, with barely anyone coming to help. The people of Beirut were left to pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives from nothing. Even now, months after the explosion, the memories still haunt them and they cry for those they've lost. It is a tragedy that will not soon be forgotten.

I live in Las Vegas and when I was in 9th grade in 88 the Pepcon plant blew up. They were storing all the solid rocket fuel or ammonium perchlorate because of the Challenger disaster. The 2nd and bigger explosion rocked the Valley and causing the most damage. It registered around a 3.0-3.5 in unlv's Richter scale.. The windows in our house around 15 miles away were broken and in my classroom the roof tiles fell and our school is almost 20 miles away.. The city of Henderson where the plant is at suffered the most but at the time it was still a small city and lucky not built up like it is today. The worst was the Kidd Marshmello plant that was leveled.. I can say that from experience the people who lived in Vegas at the time know what the people of Beirut must have gone through... The only bright spot of the Pepcon explosion is somehow only 2 people died..

As a lebanese I'm very happy for you to visit Lebanon, Lebanon was a good country but it got much worse after the explosion, don't worry about me, I never got hurt from explosion and I was far away from Beirut, neither my family, but it's still sad to see people who got sent flying and getting their bodies being torn apart, Thankyou for your support, sorry I'm 1 month late, I got the video as I was scrolling shorts, I'm gonna tell ya right now that the destruction costs 15$ billion to be exactly.
