Fun fact the spare gun barrel is buried under the old FHQ building which is on the left as you enter the gun site.

That is a great fact! I can't imagine replacing barrels would have been a quick or easy job.

Thanks + the other 100 ton (not tonne) Armstrong gun, that is in Malta, also has a museum with historical rifles and very knowledgeable guides, at the same location.
