Did you guys do Fuga da Atlantide & Jungle Rapids cause those are like the best water attracions in the world, even the 2 best rides at the park, those 2 should be the main reason to go to Italy!

How can you miss doing Mammut when at Gardaland. I was there last month, I did Oblivion 8 times and what an amazing park brings back so many memories.

Ok, so, some Gardaland Fun facts, since I am from Italy and have been there MANY times (copying this from another video about gardaland that I commented on): - Magic loop wasn't magic loop before: it was "Sequoia Adventure", when both it and Shaman (before was named Magic mountain) didn't really have any themeing. Of course, when the Shaman re design came to be, they needed a better theme for the "magic" variety there, and so "magic loop" came to be. Ridden it a few times and yea, it's rough. - Speaking of Shaman, originally when they re designed the coaster, there was suppoused to also have a VR element to it! I was one of the lucky few test subjects that were doing testing in a closed, ticket "soft opening" you could say, but was more of a beta test. Unfortunately, to the contrary of other VR coasters like when Galactica at Alton Towers used to have it, the headset wasn't attached to the train itself, so few folks (like me) almost had their headset snatched out at the exit of the second corkscrew (yes, I can confirm, that point is r o u g h). Experiment failed because of those reports (and capacity issues as well), and now you have a simple re theme. You can see some remenancess of the VR experience in the TV screens of the queue btw. - There were also plans of Raptor as well having an optional VR experience, but were cut short when Shaman test failed. Remenances of that can be seen in the mini screen on those recording cameras (this one more of a theory, so take it with a grain of salt) - The Jumanji building has a.. troubled history. Went through 3 redesigns and openings now. First, it was an Egyptian based dark ride, then it became a cyberpunk+egyptian shooting dark ride called "Ramses", and now came all the way back to a normal dark ride, but Jumanji instead. Gardaland keeps boasting about how they are the only authorized park to make a jumanji attraction (not to be confused with land, that goes to Chessington instead), which is a weird selling point to me, but ok. - DId you know Gardaland actually made some videogames? Yea, point and click adventure games. Seemed like they were trying to make "Prezzemolo" (the park mascot) also a cartoon icon, but didn't quite get popular enough. You can find the discs of them online and also an ISO of the game on Internet Archive, if you wanna see some weird stuff.

I'd have to say Baron 1898 is the best dive coaster I've ridden, the theming alone puts well above Oblivion, add on the extra track/ride duration after the dive, makes it a great ride!

Did you go to Movieland Park down the road? That for me is comfortably the best theme park in Italy - whereas Gardaland has similar experiences to what you might find at other parks with Merlin trying to take your money at every turn - Movieland Park is full of unique experiences, good reasonably priced food, a whole schedule of excellent shows and management that clearly cares about guests having the best time. I don’t understand why this park isn’t talked about way more!

You can leave bags on all ride platforms but many people choose to leave them outside

My favourite park. You definitely need to visit in the summer for the water rides. It’s a shame about shaman, it was fine until the retrack, a lot of people have complained about it so hopefully something will be done One thing is you won’t be able to go on the water park, it’s under 12yrs only

Hi Jack, finally after years you went on Italy, not in a good period to enjoy it but it is what it is!. As Italian, is Gardaland the best Italian's theme park? I highly doubt because the near Movieland park is much better. Ok is smaller and they have only one coaster, but on that park there are unique rides in the world on a theme park, have a lot of shows and it have a real water park too and is better for English people ( I don't want to spoil why ) I highly recommend if you return in Italy next year ( not only Obviously but also Mirabilandia, Magicland etc... ) Obviously on the Halloween period, both Thrope and Alton had a far better experience to offer. I don't know if you know, but on the Jumanji building there was an amazing dark ride called "La Valle dei Rè " ( it was on the 19th also the best dark ride in the world) and was inspired on the pyramid of Abu Simbel and Merlin destroyed completely this ride. In my honest opinion Merlin didn't do a great job for this ride, is not highly themed and have a lot of inaccuracies. Is obviously better than the awful Ramses ride, but is not as impressive than the old dark ride. And while Chessington will have a new Jumanji area next year, Gardaland will receive the labyrinth ( " Jumanji the labyrinth " ) that will be suitable for all the family and will be on the Souk Arabian part ( on the left side of the main Jumanji). In that period that you visited, you also lost the beautiful "Corsari" pirate dark ride, that is closed from all the summer due to technical issues and also the Vekoma Mad house, under the tree and obviously all the water rides that during the winter are all closed. During the Magic winter that will be from December 3rd, the park will have new shows, Christmas Market like on Alton, a new walk-through inspired of elves and on the 4D cinema, will be the Polar Express film experience and shows.

the swarm was not inspired by raptor. the only reson why the swarm came second is because when the swarm ripped off the limbs of the test dummys they had to postpone the opining. if that never happened the swarm would have opened first.

Raptor was always the original prototype. The swarm dummy limbs were deliberately removed for marketing
