There's a small town near Santa Cruz California called La Selva. Many people of Italian decent live in the area, this may be the reason for the name. Google translate said it means The Forest in English. This area was heavily forested at one time, right down to the ocean (Monterey Bay) which has been logged many times over the years. I wonder if Marta's family ever had anything to do with forests but it does go nicely with her love of her botanical craft. Thank You Nicki for giving us a view to another part of the world as we all sit shuttered up at home. You really do make it much more bearable.

The farm was called La Selva years before they moved in. It is quite a common name in Italy. There is also one in my hometown in the UK

As a Certified Aromatherapist, I especially enjoyed this particular video. I also make products and custom- blend essential oils and treatments. I specialize in working with Cancer patients. Since I am always brainstorming business ideas I could pursue when we eventually locate to Italy, it is encouraging to see that products like these are well accepted. Le Selva is amazing. I placed my order right after watching the video on Sunday. My order arrived in Aspen, Colorado today. Marta did such a wonderful job packing everything up. She added a hand written thank you note with a drawing and a branch with some berries on it. The care Marta took with this order touched me and I’ll be ordering more from her for Christmas gifts. What a lovely adventure- how the children have grown. You showed me a hike I could never do in reality, but to see the flowers ,listen to the music and hear your commentary transport me to Positano. The scenery as spectacular. Lockdown does work but it plays havoc with how family get along. When we were in lockdown, housebound except for food,medical or essential work. Masks compulsory. We are slowly coming out of a strictest lockdown (since Early July) . For the last 15 days there have been 0 new cases 0 deaths in the state of. Victoria . I make honey and goats milk soap, sometimes with lavender or rose essential oil. I use it for gifts or leave it plain for my kitchen and bath hand soap. I add Argan oil, makes the skin feel so soft. I have my own essential oil scent using, jasmine, rose geranium, patchouli, and musk. I call it Madaket Mist😊 after my fav. Beach on Nantucket. Loved this video so much, thank you Nicki, you are so beautiful.
