Wonderful video! The Lehmann's passion for their town and its history is inspiring. I can't wait to stop by next time I'm in West Virginia.

This is a great movie of people of Swiss heritage that live in this little town called Helvetia. These people can't speak Swissgerman, but they wish to re-learn the language and regain some other Swiss traditions. Why couldn't the Swiss Government offer for example help these people by offering, or at least suggesting, au-pair positions were a person could stay with a family, possibly a farmer's family where they could learn the language but also a lot of other Swiss traditions. For example, baking Zuepfe, Making Jam, preparing many other typical Swiss food and or drinks. On a farm they can learn so much. This could help a Swiss farmer's family as well to have a willing person to help. Anyway, just as an idea. After the au-pair year is up, the Swiss American would go back and teach other people from that town these learned customs. It's a win win situation. I think so!

This looks charming. Sadly, I would NEVER spend money visiting a squalidly corrupt Red State. It is my understanding West Virginia is one of the ten poorest states in America. Deservedly so.

Stay in your corrupt and crime ridden blue state then and dont forget to lock your doors and windows. You are whats wrong with this country and why we are so divided.
