Visiting Mesa Verde and The Grand Canyon + Car Problem Solved | Headed West Part II

The adventure West continues! We finally give in and take the jeep to the mechanic and find out that it wasn't a big problem at all! PHEW! We take you to Mesa Verde to look at some of the old ruins of Pueblo homes and to the The Grand Canyon because you can't skip The Grand Canyon when doing a road trip West! Next time we see you, we will most likely be back in CA where this whole trip began. It's so strange to go back to a place that has stayed the same, but now you feel so different. More on this later. If you enjoy sleeping in a tent on the ground you would really enjoy a rooftop tent and they actually have it to where your dog can climb the ladder to get into the rooftop tent

I'm sorry to hear you've had the trouble with your new car, but I've learned over the years to go ahead and get extended warranties. "They just don't make them like they used to", whether it's a car or dishwasher. Glad you have your mom with you for backup and your Jeep was so easily fixed! Stay safe!

Ooooo I hiked the North Kaibab Trail last summer and it was was amazing!!! Super beautiful, super challenging! I remember those moments of looking up at how far we were to the rim. Feel like I got hit by a bus the next day. It was crazy! Never doing that again lol

Less than a week? The dealership who sold you the Jeep should pay for repairs or at least the deductible. Hold them accountable! If you keep having problems, check the Lemon Laws in your state. I hope the Jeep works out and it doesn’t come to that.

A year ago I bought a gorgeous jeep wrangler Sahara. Very low miles. Purchased from highly reputable dealership. 7 months in I traded it for a Subaru Forester. So many issues with the Jeep, hence the saying: Just Empty Every Pocket. I hope you have better luck with yours!

New sub... Someone below mentioned Jiffy Lube, I would run thru hell with gasoline drawls on before I’d go there.. girl! Had bad experience with them years ago ..they forgot to put the cap on after an oil change.. was on a road trip.., a week later when I got back to New Orleans they said they were under new ownership. Kinda at a lost as to why you didn’t call the dealer you just purchased the car ... Be mindful of changing fluid while your car is under warranty... Keep a strict log of your car maintenance ... being a nomad you never know when you may end up and some crook will try to sell u a service you don’t need!!!!

Enjoy watching your channel. Some Taos Pueblo still do a right of passage from a boy to a man where you spend a year alone in a kiva. A member of the family will bring food and water to the young boy/man. Most are young boys around 8-12 years old. They come out of the kiva with a different outlook on life. One of the few rituals that natives still practice as a right of passage. Most are gone with in forced religion of the European Americans.
