The geyser actually does erupt occasionally (it's an art installation). Maybe you get lucky to witness it next time you come back.

Yeah unfortunately I didn't catch it erupting this time, but yes maybe next time!

@@jackieingermany You can only see it a few times in a year. It erupts every 64 hours of bright sunshine, no clouds. The city of monheim has website with a counter when the next eruption will take place.
