Goodbyes are the hardest esp for desi ppl when leaving mom and dad’s house. I would count the days to go back. Americans are bit more independent on such stuff. I’m glad you guys have normal in-laws; mine were not and it made for a v difficult existence! Culturally, religiously and everything in between it was hell and I should really pray for their souls. So I’m glad you both have a good support structure.
