I really appreciate your description of Nevis …it’s been one of my favorite places to go for the last 10 years

My MIL is from SKN and much of my husband’s family is in St. Kitts, so first off, THANK YOU for pronouncing Nevis correctly, and THANK YOU for shouting out The Gin Trap! We have never really been impressed with Sunshine’s, but TGT is beautiful, has friendly staff, and their cocktails are fresh and amazing. Oualie Beach Restaurant also has great food. Although I’m not really sure I want Nevis to get super popular now. Oh, and it’s Nevis Peak 😊

I spend quite a bit of time in Nevis and I have to say that your review is spot on. Sunshine's is definitely overrated and I'm glad you pointed that out. By contrast, Passion is much better and very underrated. The rum punch at Passion is also much better than the Killer Bee at Sunshine's. The Gin Trap was an amazing place to hang out and dine, but it is now a private club and closed to the public. Although they just started letting the public back in, to listen to live music on Thursdays. Not sure if the public can actually enjoy food there again, though. I'll be in Nevis again at the end of this month and it will be my first time at the Gin Trap since it closed. So I will know more by the end of August. Thanks again for your review. I agree with all of the insights you presented. If you go back, be sure to soak in the hot springs. It's free and therapeutic.

Thanks for replying. I'm glad you like the videos. Sorry about not including specific prices but it does change based on high or low season. Overall it's middle-of-the-pack in cost relative to other Caribbean islands.

👍🏼 We really liked St. Kitt's, although now that we're older and Alexander Hamilton is popular, I really wish we'd spent a few days on Nevis too! Thanks for the tips! 😎

Spot on tips. My wife & I went there in March of 2022 & plan to return this year. Where is that lush staircase (16:03 in your video) located?

I love Nevis, was married there in Golden Rock Inn when Pam Barry ran it, and had friends who lived and worked in the tourist industry there, we visited most Xmas' . We never took the ferry, we always took inexpensive LIAT flight from St. Kitts to Nevis (yes it has a little airport!)...easy, peasy, they were twin engine turbo prop 4 passenger planes, locals called LIAT, 'Leave Island Any Time!' 😂 Also, you didn't mention The Hermitage Inn...is it closed? They used to have the BEST cuisine on the island.

Correction, though; the EC dollar is used in the ECCU countries. Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica etc. all have their own currency and they were also under British rule at some point.

Instead of taking taxis everywhere, can you rent a car there? How about bicycle rentals? Thanks?

Of course you can! You can also rent ATVs or catch public transportation.

There's more stuff on St Kitts but it's also a lot busier. Nevis has fewer restaurants and bars but the beaches are less crowded and it's just overall more laid-back. If you want more excitement and party atmosphere, go for St. Kitts (even though St Kitts is less busy than the most popular islands). Nevis is better for relaxing. But both are great.
